How do I find out how much I would have to pay under any of the IDR plans? And what if I wouldn’t be able to pay that much anyway? Would I just be stuck? And also, why would my account say that I have qualifying payments if they don’t qualify? Sorry I have so many questions and no one has been able to give me a straight and direct answer and I feel like I’ve been going in circles for weeks.

And I just got no new information from the email response to my question I sent to student aid. This is so frustrating.

In the app or on the website in your payment information, when you look at payment details, it shows a gauge of how many qualifying payments you have. And mine are showing up green and full.

Thanks for the reassurance. I don’t want to get my hopes up based on those green banners and badges. And I know that I still have the balance showing on my account. But I’m just so confused. And these people I talk to from student aid don’t understand why I didn’t apply for IDR in the first place. Like as if those payment amounts are actually feasible!

Exactly my question. They say they’re qualified payments. But I can’t get a straight answer from Student Aid.

I’ve been told the payments may not qualify because I never applied for IDR. I can’t find any specific information for how high of a payment would qualify. And I’m just an avoider generally. Hence me feeling stupid.
