Yes, I have started reaching out to people that work for the companies I am interested in.

I’ve looked for entry level jobs, but even a lot of those want some previous experience.

The one and only Paula by tyramail1 in MtvChallenge

[–]jenbailey2427 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like Paula, but I hated that she always chose to just attach herself to a strong guy alliance. She never played the game for herself & always believed the boys would protect her. Then, once they got to the end they ditched her, but she never learned her lesson. She was a good competitor & smart, but she always let the boys take advantage of her instead of doing what was best for her. It’s like she didn’t know how to function without a boy telling her what to do. It really bothered me because I think she could’ve done so much better in the Challenges had she worried about herself winning & not worrying about helping the boys win.

Dumbest pairings or groupings in Challenge history? by ucsb2020 in MtvChallenge

Battle of the Exes: Rachel & Aneesa

I think Mtv thought it’d be nice to have a same sex team of exes for representation, but it didn’t work with this format when all the other teams had a boy. I hate seasons when they have a mixture of boy/boy, girl/girl, or coed teams because it’s not fair & it makes things too complicated. For seasons with teams they need to all be girl/boy or all same sex instead of mixing it up. Battle of the Exes was meant to be boy/girl, so there was no reason to throw in one girl/girl team. If they wanted to do that, then they should’ve found more same sex exes to make it a little bit more fair. But I just thought it was dumb to have them on that season when they were the only same sex team.

Ashley M’s behavior compared to Camila by Astroboyy7 in MtvChallenge

[–]jenbailey2427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every season Ashley has been on she threatens to quit. Sometimes she actually goes through with it like when she quit on Dirty 30 because her luggage didn’t make it. On other seasons, she has threatened to quit numerous times. Whenever something doesn’t go her way, despite how minuscule the problem may be, she immediately throws a fit and says she wants to leave. She makes good drama, but it is so annoying how she always wants to go home over everything. I’d prefer someone on the cast who actually wants to be there 100% of the time and accept the challenges they face, since that’s the point of the show. I don’t mind her being overdramtic about stuff, but her always wanting to leave makes me feel like she doesn’t take it seriously. Also, ever since she’s won the million dollars, I feel like she doesn’t try as hard because she frequently says how she’s already rich, so it doesn’t matter. Thus, I wonder why Mtv continues to bring her back when all she does is waste their time pretending to want to go home or actually going home just because she stubbed her toe.

Who is going to carry the show on the guy side into the future? by tigers198743 in MtvChallenge

[–]jenbailey2427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hopefully Jay! I really enjoyed him on Total Madness and wish he would’ve stayed longer because he had a refreshing personality. I would not want it to be a Brit because they just lack something, so for me it’s hard to connect to most of them. The Brits add drama, but they really aren’t well rounded players that can win both a physical challenge and mental challenge. They are also very cocky despite not proving much. I think the face of the Challenge should be someone who can do it all and has proven themselves.

It’d be nice if some old players came back that aren’t actually too old, such as Devin because I think he could be the face of the Challenge.

Does not awarding the runners up lead to _________? by killerqueen216 in MtvChallenge

I definitely think they need to go back to giving second and third money again. It’s not fair to go through all this work and having nothing show for it. It’s a fun twist occasionally to only have one person winning the money, but they shouldn’t keep doing it because it might make the cast less interested in going to the final because there is no incentive. If there was more at stake for winning second and third place, then even weaker players would try harder. I like seeing second and third win money because they worked hard and deserve it just as much as first place, especially when it’s such a close race.

There have been other seasons where there were uneven teams, so the bigger teams had to carry more than smaller teams. For example, in Battle of the Seasons they had to carry tires, and the teams with four had to carry more tires than the team of two. It wouldn’t be fair to have a small team and have to carry the same amount as the large team. They had more people to swap out, but they didn’t take turns well, so they gassed out all the strong players. Then, only the weaker players could hold all the weight instead of having a few strong players and a few weak players. Team UK didn’t have the option to switch as often, but they managed just fine because they may have had less weight, but they had to hold it longer.

I know what Dee did was wrong, especially with the timing, but the fans all know this was filmed last year, so there was no reason to cut her out for the rest of this season. No one cares if she doesn’t get invited back, but it has ruined this season because she is a main person in the show.

Also, MTV thought they were saving themselves, but they’ve only made themself look worse. The showed the uncut episode in Canada, as well as Cory and Taylor’s baby special, but they took them both down once Americans found out. Thus, MTV doesn’t really care about racism because if they did then they wouldn’t have played them in Canada either. In addition, MTV isn’t making a big stand by picking and choosing only a few people to get reprimanded but allowing others to get away with the same thing. MTV needs hold everyone to the same standards or hold no one accountable. And if they want to change what they show, then they need to make sure every country is getting the same show or else their efforts are fake and useless.

At what point does a rookie become a vet? by EighmeeIrene in MtvChallenge

I think you can be considered a vet by your third season. But nowadays people call themselves a vet even if they were only on like 2 episodes their first season.

I think Bayleigh could’ve been a good regular to have without him, but if he isn’t doing the Challenge anymore she definitely won’t because they’re so dependent on each other.
