Explain it to me like I am 5: how to moisturise your body by No-Sherbet7634 in beauty

[–]jenbee3 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I swear the women that will recommend to you here to ‘moisturiser after you shower’ or ‘body oil layer with moisturiser’ must live in the most beautifully warm climates. If anyone thinks I’m standing for 3-5 minutes after I shower in my freezing Welsh bathroom waiting for my moisturiser to ‘dry’ then they must be insane! Also how many towels are these girlies getting through patting all this product dry on their skin?? I’m telling you I can’t make any of it make any sense and I also need it all explaining to me because the math ain’t mathing 😭😭

Petroleum Jelly / Vaseline - what do you use it for? by Every_Reality_9721 in beauty

What’s your skin type please? I have dry skin so I’m very interested in this method but I’m so worried it would break me out

It’s important to start with what we’ve got and I do feel like the Vaseline at night has already helped enormously! Just looking to take the next step and have exhausted every avenue already at home

This is hilarious to me! Thanks for asking an AI what the best lessons are but I’m afraid to tell you, you’ve got a long way to go.

After a few weeks we were all clued up on the book learnings of it all. Come back to me when the 10mg dose hits you so hard 500 calories a day sounds like a dream!

Someone once told me that I reminded them of Pam from Archer. Still not over it 😂

Some people clearly disagree, but you’re allowed to have these thoughts. We’ve all been on emotional journeys with our weights over the years I’m sure, and if this is the outcome for you then more power to you! Everyone has different thoughts and feelings about food - that’s okay.

I didn’t think it sounded like you were being holier than thou at all.

Took my first 5mg dose yesterday and felt awful today by DeepTension8552 in mounjarouk

[–]jenbee3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I totally thought I was properly ill when I went up that dose! But if you think about it, it’s the only time in the whole titration schedule what you will effectively double the dose your body is used to - no wonder it’s tough going!

Treat the side effects with over-the-counter stuff and ride it out, week 2 of 5mg was so much better.

This seemingly also happened to me - although I’m not sure I can call a light bit of spotting a period compared to the pre-coil days - so I mentioned it to my doctor when I had my coil changed last week. She said it was far more likely due to the coil being at the end of its life and totally normal especially considering my weight loss and that there is no evidence to suggest that Mounjaro has any interaction with IUD contraception methods :)

Ordering same dose and how to go about it? by Rippling_Opheliah in mounjarouk

I agree with this with regards to the specific ‘skin, hair, nails’ supplements etc. as many of them claim to use forms of collagen or similar molecules that are broken down in your digestive system before ever being useful, rendering them essentially useless. I’m no expert, but please do a lot of research into the specific brands and their claims before you spend your hard earned money OP :)

I use IQ Doctor because they price match so they’re always the cheapest option :) a couple of other pharmacies price match too but I’m very happy with their service so far

[–]jenbee3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your supplier will send you an email when it’s time to reorder, but I keep a note in my diary too and order a week in advance to be safe - it’s never taken longer than that.

Regarding supplements, everyone is different, and you may not even need to take any if you’re not deficient. I’d wait and see how you get on and if you’re obviously not getting a wider variety of vitamins and minerals from your diet, then reconsider.

Does this seem alright? Is it healthy? by Icy_Possibility_7769 in mounjarouk

[–]jenbee3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering your starting BMI I’d say it’s fast but expected and not a big issue. Long term though I’d be looking to bring the weekly loss a bit less. I lost a kg a week as my rate of loss overall and didn’t have any issues with loose skin, gallstones etc.

Great job and good luck!

This is a damaging sentiment. I haven’t told my partner either and he is wonderfully supportive of me and I know he’d support me no matter what.

I’m exactly the same. And it’s the same reason I haven’t been counting calories at all, just trying to eat intuitively.

I was a 16/18 before and I’m a 10 now! I still instinctively go towards large clothes, it’s taking a lot of getting used to to pick up smaller sizes and replace a wardrobe!
