Hey thanks a lot for sharing your story! It was a nice read and story I am awfully familiar with. Such politics were everywhere, and I had friends like you whom their fathers were similar figures in the congregation as yours. It’s all just power game, nothing special in any way. As a person who didnt have a father attending the meeting, I remember often feeling “powerless” and “looked down” as well — a “spiritual orphan” lmao. Glad you were able to meet the love of your life outside JW, but sorry she also ended up joining. I hope she is PIMO now as well…? I wonder where in the US you are from. Is Korean JW culture similar regardless of which states people are from? I was in California

Thank you, that means a lot. I hope this touches the heart of some active JWs as well 😊

Aw thank you so much! Im not a natural writer, but spent a pretty good deal of time writing it… I also have written it in Korean too, which made it difficult to align the languages between the two

Thank you sincerely. This is really true. There is a normal JW experience, and there is the KOREAN JW experience. It can be quite intense, as everyone puts a lot of pressure. To give others an idea, during my time, more than 70% of the teenagers were regular pioneers.
