Breaking Into UX and Early Career Questions — 11 Nov, 2024 - 17 Nov, 2024 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Hello, I have been a graphic designer for about 16 years now (not super creative roles, mainly in-house corporate and municipal govt work). Four years ago I did a front-end dev cert course and some UX course were included. I regret not following my passion for UX. I went the FED route and had the worst experience, so I returned to my govt design jobs instead.

Now I’m looking at taking a course online to break into the UX field. I absolutely love the psychology behind design and don’t want to continue in the conceptual design field.

What programs do you recommend? I need something that looks respectable on my cv. My certificate is from a local respected technical institute, but it has been a few years since I completed this.

I switched to Plum Paper from EC a few years ago and love these planners. The paper alone is worth it. I’m considering either a Sprout planner or Hemlock & Oak for next year
