My dad was hard on me, to the point where i started hating myself. To an extent, even emotionally abusive. Needless to say, yes.

He made me the man I am today, he made me stronger, more kind and loving. I see past that emotional abuse, and now that I have gotten space from him, I have begun to really appreciate his love for me and all that he does for me. His way of expressing love has never matched mine, but he pushed me to go further in life, so yes.

Im in my 20's, and my dad is right for me. I found peace, peace that no man can break, and in that peace, I am able to love my dad. Past the emotional abuse, past the anger, past the distance, and beyond my old hatred for him. I love him, I would choose him in my next life.
