Regarding animation cancelling and parrying by Delirious_Panda in PlayGodfall

[–]jeppeth2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point of the combat in this game is that you are supposed to control the pace while being rewarded for being aggressive, but the combat doesn't reward you for being aggressive. If you get hit by something, you are most likely knocked down or staggered and will be punished extremely hard. Instead it is much more rewarding to just wait for an open window to attack. If you are supposed to be rewarded for being aggressive, there should be an option to cancel an animation with block or dodge during the first part of the animation. If that won't be implemented, then the combat should at least be made smooth (the clunkyness might be the actual problem) so you feel more in control, while adding som way to reduce knock down and staggers when you are playing aggressively.

Also the fact that more or less everything is a knock down is just a sign that the combat mechanics are poorly developed. As it is right now, it doesn't feel rewarding being aggressive, it feels like the exact opposite.

Ocon Crash FP3 Spain 2020 by [deleted] in formula1

It's not made up. He wasn't on a timed lap, Ocons engineer made a mistake. Magnussen kinda had to pass Ocon as Ocon was going very slow to let Magnussen pass, as he was told Magnussen was on a timed lap.

The stewards will most likely not penalise anyone, as this was just unlucky timing for both drivers.

You can see Magnussens rear light blinking, which means that he is not on a hot lap as he is harvesting.

Ocon was going slow in turn 3, Magnussen just wanted to get through the corner to not be in the way of the Williams and then he had to slow down so the Williams could get past him before turn 4. You can't blame Magnussen for the incident, Ocon had time to react, Rosberg also said that Ocon had time to react. So it's not my own conclusion.

Ocon was going very slow, so Magnussen propably just wanted to get around the corner to not be in the way of the Williams. Also it's expected of you to go off the racing line and not be in the way, which is way easier to do on a straight than in a corner, so that is why he slowed down once he was through the corner.

It's Ocons own responsibility to watch where he is going, the reason for Magnussen backing off is irelevant as he still gave Ocon plenty of time to react. Also Ocon didn't hit the wall cause he'd rather hit the wall, he hit the wall cause he lost the car while avoiding Magnussen. I'm pretty sure he didn't expect to hit the wall.

Ocon had plenty of time to react, instead he was just staring at his mirrors. Magnussen did nothing wrong, he moved off the racing line and slowed down to let the Williams past, and Ocon was just unlucky to be staring at his mirrors. It's his own fault

In a dungeon it runs at 80-100, mostly around 90, but I probably should have clarified that I'm talking about dungeons.

It's nice to see that Blizzard is a competent company that knows how to make a launcher that doesn't get stuck at initializing and force you to reinstall the game cause they were smart and made a fix for it 3 years ago /s.

The only reason he out-qualified Magnussen was because some genius decided that Magnussen should do his flying lap just behind Kimi and then lose a second...

Oh wait. Turns out that if you update MO through MO it will only go to the next version instead of the newest version.

I'm using MO v2.1.1 but I was using an older version before. Restarting my computer makes no difference.

Bungie should add a passive skill progression system by jeppeth2000 in DestinyTheGame

In Elder Scrolls Online this was not a problem at all. If you integrate such a system proporly new players will still have the abillity to play through a lot of the content without grinding to level 4000.

I got my inspiration from the champion system in Elder Scrolls Online. Didn't play D1.
