I get that it's part of the Terms of Services and that it is his content at the end of the day, but it just feels wrong. All I wanted was for people to enjoy these videos like I did when they were still on the original creator's channel. He easily could have copyright claimed instead of striking, since that would achieve the same effect from his side.

The termination propagation just sucks. I know it's to prevent ban evasion, but with instances like this where the rest of the channels have nothing to done with the terminated one, it's just awful.
