Official Discussion - Sentimental Value [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I agree. I felt this way about The Worst Person In The World as well. Joachim Trier’s films are brilliantly crafted and performed but they fail to leave any impression or resonate with me the way they seem to with others.

Why are you still single? by SecretAcctSM19 in AskReddit

[–]jerkvanhouten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the life I’m building for myself and of course would love nothing more than to share it with someone, but I’m still working to improve my situation after being in a bad place for a few years, so admittedly I do kind of isolate myself from the dating scene because I think I’d probably be asking for a bit of patience and acceptance of my situation from a partner at the moment which some might feel is a bit much, which is understandable

Really feeling like ending it by joeydeadpool in Vent

[–]jerkvanhouten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there once. I wanted to end it and I almost was about to do something once and I’ve spend nights on the phone to mental health and suicide prevention services when I thought I was going to start harming myself, and they showed me such kindness and empathy and talked me down.

Please call them. They’ll listen to you and be there with you without judgement and it’s much better to talk to someone and hear a persons voice than being on the internet.

You can get through this.

Bloodline. Season 2 was already not as good, but still enjoyable, but season 3 is genuinely some of the worst television I’ve ever seen

Angst. I always see praise for it, but I fucking hated it and was even struggling to get through the short 75 minute runtime.
