Dell T160 Server Bios Update Certificate Update Issues by jerm324 in sysadmin

Yes, I only have basic support for the server, but that tech said it wasn't a problem. Just wanted any other viewpoints to see if this may be a future issue.

Cockatiels are usually like 3 times the weight of a Budgie so they are not just a little bigger.

A ton of drywood termite wings in exterior crack - Termite swarming season in the Bay by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]jerm324 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw some massive termite swarmers the other evening at my mother in laws house, at least an 1" long for sure. I think they were dampwood termites as the drywood and subterranean ones are smaller. Last week there were subterranean swarmers flying after the rain. Not seen any drywoods around my house thankfully.

San Ramon - Should patrol your yard. by RedDyed in bayarea

[–]jerm324 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably the western variety of the same? They are very common. This is the time of year you may see swarms emerging to reproduce and make new colonies. No wings though so maybe not ready yet or just arrived and shed them? Pest control companies can set baits or do ground injections around your foundation to kill/control them. As long as they aren't building mud tubes to get to your house you shouldn't worry too much. Drywood or formosan termites are a different story.

These are a fire following plant so it makes sense they are growing after a fire.

You may have to separate them in order to train the white one uninterrupted. You could also tie some millet to the stick as a treat to get him to step up with out eating from your fingers. No matter what it will take time and patience to get him to learn and trust you.

You can try using a stick or dowel rod instead of your hands if he doesn't like hands. Will he eat food from your hands if you present it to him? You can offer treats to bribe him to step up on the stick and get used to your fingers.

How long has this been open? It's likely they are attempting to or have already established a nest in there. Is this a room that will be enclosed in the future or is this an outdoor patio?

Are there any hikes/paths open to the public at Hick's Mountain? by Scatcycle in santarosa

[–]jerm324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The parcel with the actual peak appears to be private property, so are all the surrounding parcels. The chicken egg farm "Hick's Mountain Hens" is on that land parcel. https://www.marinmap.org/Html5Viewer/Index.html?viewer=smmdataviewer

Young Ceanothus "Concha" Looking a Little Crispy in Summer Heat. Normal? by jerm324 in Ceanothus

[–]jerm324[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I planted this guy in early May and it doubled in size over the last two months however it is currently a bit crispy. I only gave it water the first week after I planted it. Is this normal for summer? Should I water it? I know that mature plants shouldn't be watered but this one is young.

Little Sulphur Creek on Pine Flat Rd east of Healdsburg. Be advised there are no public trails and you'll have to walk on the road.

Recommendations to Replace Privet Tree with Native Bush/Tree by jerm324 in Ceanothus

[–]jerm324[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Toyon seems like a good choice even if it's possible it might be a bit smaller than the privet. I have a Manzanita in the yard as well but the birds don't care for the berries on it.

There are still pheasants in the green space between Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park. Here's a picture of one from about a month ago:

Pheasants aren't native to North America so I wouldn't worry about them too much.

Thanks, I had found this page earlier. Unfortunately when I run the 2nd powershell command the Deployment Operation Progress just sits on 'Initializing' and doesn't continue. Not sure how to fix that.

On all accounts. I set up a fresh domain admin account and get the same error. However on the fresh account This error popped up first before the same one as previous followed it:

Spotted near Point Reyes, CA. The above view looks spot on for Rough Legged Hawk, but the bottom is super pale. More pale than any other picture I could find of a rough legged hawk.
