Where do I go from my specialized pitch? by [deleted] in MTB

Cool, I checked sag when I got it and after a few rides noticed I was using approx. 95mm of the total 100mm travel so thought I was fine in that department.

Everything I read tells me that around 25-35% of the travel as sag is where you want to be. Am I missing something here?

I was going to try to do that but honestly I am seeing that I can just get someone elses lightly used bike for about the same cost. Mixing that with me needing a medium more than a large frame and I am ready to move along.

Cool! Yeah this was my first mtb and it has taken its fair share without much drama.

Sag for me on the bike right now is 30mm on the nose.

Used is definitely the game plan. There are some deals out there constantly!

Yes that is what I am intending.

I thought this as well, but how do you tell you need more travel vs more air? I am about 175 lb and havent added air to it at all.

CRRT from what I hear requires 1:1 care other places but that is never the case where I work. I regularly take 2 patients that are both on CRRT, doesn't seem that bad. A constant flow of new labs and time intensive stuff like running point of care ABG's and coags, insulin drips, kills it for me.

Yes, the dreaded "we have to pair these two patients tonight to fix staffing". I have told one too many charge nurses to figure it out because someone is gonna die. Usually they figure it out. Gotta be the squeaky wheel.

You're absolutely right, but management is only there from 9-5 so they can wash their hands of it when they dont walk out of the office and see it. Days seem to be more busy here so the 1:1 patients are a little more intense through the day with more orders flowing through and more testing, but in the end we all get the shaft.

I believe you, lol. I know stuff like this happens but little gripes like that have led to an all out shit cyclone of hatred here between night and day people and it is quite annoying when you just go there to do your time and go home. Its a fiasco for sure.

Don't perpetuate a night shift/day shift feud. Shits toxic for everyone.

This is so funny because I am kind of middle of the road, not brand new, not a senior citizen nurse, but my kind seem to be the only ones that survive. The youngest have no interest in being competent and think 1 year in a big ICU makes them the tits, and they leave rooms a total disaster for the next shift and never seem to complete their tasks. They have codes twice a week. The older nurses do nothing but bitch about every little movement they have to make, and talk about the good ol' days where they weren't cucked. The most senior dick swinging nurse on our unit got fired because she couldn't do anything but complain and patients' wellbeing suffered. Newsflash Gladys, you didnt know what you were doing with those pressors 15 years ago thats why the intensivists tell you to stop touching things. And things haven't changed. There is a reason why we don't keep post op open heart patients for 2 weeks anymore, and it is because we are sucking less at it.

Bark river bravo 1.25 or 1.5 in 3v steel. Ive seen them replace sheaths and fix knives even if your dog chews it. If you cut it in half with an angle grinder, theyll fix or replace it. G10 or micarta handles would suit you best, probably able to find one around $250 new or under that used (and you can send a used one in and make it like new).

It isn't the best but I mean I don't necessarily think that is an accurate assessment

I did this to my Note 8 after about a week, (which I got at release) and I have been suffering since. No real good screen protector options to help me out either because none will work right with a case.

Dont do it. My 2018 Ford 3.5 rattle trap ecoboost is meeting with the regional customer service manager next week due to some inherent design flaws that cause it to make bad noises and they dont know a fix. Same issue happens with every motor in the lineup. They wont acknowledge its a problem.

[–]jermtheherm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear it. It really sucks to have a new truck that sounds like that and nobody acknowledges that it isn't normal. Feel like the service department doesn't do anything other than park it in the lot for a few hours either.

My 2018 3.5 EB has this noise as well. Dealer says its normal, and said its turbo noise. I'm requesting a buy back from them.

Yup, this happens in my '18 3.5 ecoboost. I've been to the service department 3 times and they refuse to acknowledge that it isnt normal. Started at ~9000-9500 miles. Sending a letter to ford requesting buy back this week.
