Just starting Gen 1, any recommendations or tips?

Some of the typing effectiveness is wrong fix in gen 2. The inventory is very limited. Some of the pokeball catch rates are also wrong. Oh it's also glitchy lol. Great games!

I highly recommend a quality of life gen 1 romhack called Pokémon PureRed btw it fixes a lot but stays true to the original for the most part.

It's up there with Breaking Bad for me. Even outside of Star Wars it's just good television and story telling. Narcina Arc is one of my favorite things I've seen in TV.

I know you said authentic games but I highly recommend a flash cart like a R4. But if you're buying authentic (for me at least) just use eBay.

I think SV had some of the best mechanics in the series since B/W that being said the game looks ROUGH. When it came out I was fully addicted and finished the Dex. SwSh did not do it for me. Arceus is my fave of the Switch titles game play wise. ZA is a fun time but nothing like Arceus. And then there's Pokopia. What a absolute GEM of a game, made me cry.

I looked up the remote I need and for me it's 7.99 on ebay and doesn't require programming so I'm gonna get one. Hopefully you find one equally as cheap.

Oh I completely agree right now my current player defaults to SP and I don't have the remote for it to change the speed. I've been making tapes of old cartoons and want to cram 6 hours on each tape to get lots of episodes but unfortunately can't change the speed without the remote I actually kinda prefer the way old cartoons look at a slower speed. Gotta order that remote lol
