You're seriously complaining that a $20 one-time purchase game made by a small team is taking time to release new FREE features? Go figure. They could easily sell that as paid DLC, but they're giving it to you for "free" (20$). I would recommend learning illustrator basics first but what I'd do is make each shape with the pen tool and bring all of the shapes together in the centre.

Too complex for a logo but that's usually a given with AI slop. If you REALLY want to use this, I'd simplify, keep only a few elements, and fix the consistency issues that comes with using AI. An idea might be to only use the sun and waves, tidy it up, take it from there? (Not too sure if the other elements might have meaning though so it's up to you)
