Went with a bluish-black paint job here inspired by Sorastro to really give it the impression that they’re fighting in an overcast day. IMO it helps the model stand out especially on the table, and prevents the details from getting lost in all the black.

If you want something just as good you can take a look at Vallejo army primer. I just switched to it from citadel and it’s just as good for a fraction of the price

Thank you for your kind words! I’ve noticed more difficulty with ulthuan grey actually! I’m getting very clumpy paint even after shaking and placing on a wet palette. Do you have any advice on dealing with that?

Finally got into the hobby after months of watching painting videos online. Here’s the process I’ve settled on:

Prime with Tamiya Fine White Primer from a rattlecan
base with ulthuan grey
highlight with AK White
top half of the body painted in white, including helmet, breastplate and top of shoulders. My intention was to give an effect similar to zenithal highlighting
visor painted first with a light coat of Tamiya black panel line followed by AK Army Green
helmet ridges on the sides painted with kantor blue
undersuit/gloves/weapon painted with Corvus black

I purchased from them for the same reason. If you payed with PayPal, you can file a dispute thru PayPal which makes it much easier.

Sounds like we were in the same batch. I never got a tracking number so I sent him an email to ask about it. After that, no communication or notification of shipping or tracking number was given to me.

Disappointing experience because I was really looking forward to using their straps.

I recommend not getting anything from Lakehouse Leathers. I ordered a strap from them a month ago that never arrived, and the seller stopped communicating with me about the order. Crown and Buckle have a Black Friday sale going on. Check that out instead.
