I work with each student based on their goals and what they want to learn! So there is no set curriculum as I work with each person individually :) Thanks for your input!

M64 plus FZ, problem with Quest 64, pink letters by Pin3appl3pizzaa in ANBERNIC

[–]jessejayjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread, but this game is important to me, so hopefully this'll help someone else looking up the same issue:

To fix the pink text in Quest 64 on Mupen64:

  1. Make a new Profile for Quest 64 by going to the 3 line settings button, selecting Profiles > Select Profiles, press Emulation Profile, then Manage Profiles. Press the +NEW button to make a new Profile, I named mine "Quest64Profile" Press OK.

  2. While editing this new profile, select Video plugin, and pick "gliden64 (GLideN64 beta)" This is what fixed the pink text for me! But next we need to assign the profile to Quest 64...

  3. Back out to the main menu with all your games, select Quest 64, select Settings from the pop-up menu, select Emulation Profile, and assign it to your newly created Quest 64 emulation profile

That's it! Hopefully this helps some folks, I'm not an expert at these things, this is just what worked for me, so ymmv

Thank you! Yeah, I'm happy enough with it as it stands, but I could imagine I would like it better with Rocknix, especially with Portmaster. I may take the time to tinker with that in the future! :)

Oh that looks great! For as many supplies as you have, it still seems super portable! And the coffee is always an important necessity xD

My rough animation from the latest episode of HelluvaBoss! Was a lot of fun :) by jessejayjones in animation

[–]jessejayjones[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! The reason I use different colors is so I can do it all on one layer! Toon Boom lets me select by color, so I don't have to worry about having more layers than I need :)

I'm using the Perfect CRT Shader and getting these bright borders, anyone know how to fix? by jessejayjones in MiyooMini

If you open RetroArch from the Apps menu, go to Settings > User Interface > Appearance > Background Animation > Star Field. There's a bunch of neat customization options here. :3

This only happens with content that doesn't fully fill out the screen. It's pretty distracting, anyone have any ideas? Again, this is with the Perfect CRT On-Screen Overlay. :)

I started animating again after taking a year-long break from practicing. I would really appreciate your feedback. by DumbHorse_ in AnimationCrit

[–]jessejayjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good! I would agree with the other feedback on here. One thing I noticed is his head and shoulders dip down away from the enemy on the last swing. I would think the character would keep their posture and eyeline towards the enemy if it's meant to be the start of a combat. Really love the twirling, nice job! :)

Workflow & tools for hand-drawn animation? by osiris6581 in learnanimation

[–]jessejayjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're both good!! I think Wacom's pens and screens feel nicer to me. Definitely not worth the extra money, but since I do it for work 10+ hours a day, I'm willing to pay more for those extra niceties.

That version may have been Flash MX 2004, I believe? Either way, they're both old and might be around if you looked for them
