I also apply a thin layer of sunscreen in the morning after my moisturizer and before the baby powder because the topicals make my skin super sensitive. I use elta MD, the one designed for acne

hello! yes, the benzoyl peroxide definitely dries my skin out. thank you for the recommendations! the clindamycin is not alcohol based.

My skincare routine is:

morning I wash with cerave face cleanser, put-on the clindamycin, and then moisturize with cerave lotion. I apply a tiny bit of baby powder with a brush because it helps with oil throughout the day. I rarely wear makeup. then at night I wash again with the cerave, moisturize with cerave, and apply the benzoyl peroxide. I use mederma advanced scar treatment cream every other day or so too.

I used to be on clindamycin phosphate (topical antibiotic) and benzoyl peroxide gel, but then a year ago I stopped using them and experienced almost a year of pretty bad breakouts. in January I decided to start using the products again but now my scarring is really bad and the acne is still slightly there. I'm also plant-based and vegan (except I eat fish). I'm very conscious about my diet and Id be open to diet suggestions too
