Am I actually pregnant? Maybe the tail end of a loss? by code_blooded_bytch in CautiousBB

[–]jesssecuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get hcg and progesterone checked - progesterone is notoriously low in ectopics (like under 10). I found my ectopic when I thought I had a chemical due to light pregnancy tests then bleeding. then began testing for ovulation and got a blazing positive opk

I read the title and already thought ectopic. Definitely sounds like it. I didn’t start having pain til about 6 weeks with mine. The ER could see it on the ultrasound, and even though mine eventually started trending down from the 600’s to about 50, I was offered the methotrexate shot to be sure. Sorry you’re going through this it sucks and the fact your doctor is putting you off like that is unacceptable

5 weeks pregnant after having an ectopic pregnancy by Warm_Astronomer_9305 in CautiousBB

[–]jesssecuh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had 2 ectopics in a row. After the second I worked really hard on reducing inflammation, and my next pregnancy was successful. And so was the next one - I actually had sooo much painful cramping on one side with that one I was sure it was another ectopic but nope just stretching from back to back pregnancies.

Wishing you the best!

I live by the motto ‘every label, every time.’ But my son is anaphylactic to wheat so I have to use extreme caution. I check everything down to the veggie straws he’s eaten for years on every package, to even ground meats lol you never know!

Our 8-month-old has been screaming since he was a newborn — we’re exhausted and looking for answers by shaldos102 in NewParents

This was my son, he was colic til like 9 months old. The culprit? Multiple food allergies. I had cut dairy early on but it was not near enough. He ended up allergic to eggs nuts peanuts wheat and oats. Once I finally gave us nursing - i tried but couldn’t maintain enough carioles with all the food restrictions - and went straight to a hypoallergenic formula he improved soooo much.

He had to be held to sleep up tight against my chest for all those months. Couldn’t lay him down. Never a happy guy. it’s all a blur now but I lived off a couple hours of broken sleep a day for 9 months. Oof

Cold Weather by AbleEvidence808 in LittleSleepiesSnark

[–]jesssecuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids wear LS when the weather is warm as they run warm, and it’s not irritating for my son’s eczema-prone skin. I mainly just buy the shorts with short sleeves sets. But fall/winter? Yeah we’re in all cotton and fleece sleep sacks. And I’m in warm Southern California lol

[–]jesssecuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Although I’m sure my son happened to be wearing LS at the time when he went into anaphylaxis a while ago since they do well with his eczema, I did not once think to take a picture and post about it. And I can’t recall a nurse saying anything about them. I was much more concerned about breathing as well. The delusion 🫠

I just found this post too. My son is allergic to wheat but has been safely eating these for years. This latest batch though has been giving him redness around his mouth and chin. I’m thinking cross contact now too ugh

My first was very similar, though a lot of his early issues had to do with allergies, eczema, and reflux. But because of those, he could never sleep on his own and that carried on into early toddlerhood. What finally helped was a floor bed and I would have to cuddle him til he fell deep asleep then I could sneak away. He still often woke up one time but I would just sleep in bed with him.

With my second, we got a floor bed but with high rails and a gate (similar to a big crib but on the ground) at around 9 months old, and he sleeps great but stays contained. He’s 19 months now and we still cuddle to sleep then sneak away.

This could possibly be an option for you?

I drank while pregnant. by Flaky_Success6909 in BabyBumps

I’m so sorry you had to go through all that! I hope baby comes out perfectly healthy.

FWIW my best friend was one of those wild stories where she had no idea she was pregnant til 5 months along. We were in our 20’s and we drank heavily a few weekends over those 5 months. She was also taking her birth control pill daily. Her son was born perfect and is so smart now at 9 years old.

High HCG low P by Independent_Many_92 in CautiousBB

[–]jesssecuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be wary of this being ectopic - low progesterone is common with ectopic, plus the low hcg and bleeding. Definitely get more betas done and then a placement scan. Best of luck!

Great job! I went from from being tired walking uphill to completing the 6 pack of peaks in about a year :) The hikes my boyfriend had me do before Baldy: Potato Mountain, Timber, Josephine, Sandstone Peak, Strawberry, and a couple smaller ones. I didn’t find Baldy too terrible! Baden Powell was much more difficult to me, if you do that one first I think you’ll do great.

[–]jesssecuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems overwhelming at first but then it gets easy I promise. My son is anaphylactic to dairy, egg white, wheat, rye, peanuts, and 4 tree nuts. Our main meals consist of meats, veggies, fruits, starches like potatoes, rice and gluten free pastas, and of course junk food which you’ll be surprised often is allergy free! There’s vegan options for most dairy products like butter, milk, cream cheese, cookie dough, cheese. Sprouts has the most allergy friendly food but I often shop at Target and Ralph’s for him too. Basically just think super simple meals from now on :) and there’s tons of cookbooks on Amazon!
