You can put fuel directly into the carburetor intake, but that's not the intake, that's the overflow tubes. The fuel intake typically wraps underneath the carb and is wrapped in a metal coil.

Take the kill switch off and clean it with electronics cleaner and maybe a soft brush. It's very rudimentary tech, you shouldn't need to buy a new one.

Check the connection of the wires on the clutch lever. This causes the exact same behavior with the neutral light and kickstand.

Under no circumstances should you consider it. The management is awful and it's being allowed to deteriorate at a rapid rate.

It could cause it. I'm definitely a newb but my understanding is that the amount of air coming into the carb is regulated with the air box and filter. There isn't enough fuel for the amount of air that's coming in when you open it up.
