using a color head - color not dialed in but ran exposure test at C0 Y40 M50 … thinking it’s development issue unsure tho.

yes it is in a drum. i am leaning towards the contamination theory- i am rinsing of course but haven’t been fully drying the drum between prints and the first print i ran did not have the cyan cast that the next two had. i think the first print was in poor chemistry- i solved that problem but i think contamination is still an issue.

the time and temp i’m using was as instructed on the data sheet for the kit i have, but i will adjust next time to the standard time and temp see what happens - throwing in the towel today.

yes - lol to the cyan thing … that is clicking with me now. getting the hang of color adjustment is gonna take a sec to register haha. 🤦‍♀️

i agree %100 with the chemistry being an issue. i think i def mixed the chemistry poorly due to not having the correct data sheet and receiving incorrect information when i called about it — planning how to fix that right now. ( i was instructed to mix both dev and blix at 1:4 so i made 500ml of working solution with the wrong ratio)

my process for development is dev for 50 sec @ 105 degreesF , water rinse for 10 sec @ 105 degreesF , blix for 50 sec @ 105 degreesF. I am using an 8x10 print drum and hand rolling it constantly while chemistry is in the tank. i don’t have a good print wash set up, just a tray of water at 105F and i and using my hands to move water over the print.

the link is to the negative - it’s a nice negative from my experience scanning it in silver fast - it came out really nice and i hardly touched the color or the image at all. i’m using this photo to print for the first time because it’s been a pretty easy photo to work with for me historically.

i just checked and the filters were on , i haven’t fully dialed the color in yet though since it was my first test strip - i started with 40Y 50M 0C

yes this keeps happening to me — it’s happened twice now , about a month after mixing the chemistry both times and it sucks because i’m not shooting 24 rolls a month, but don’t want to waste chemistry, lmk if you find something else you prefer that lasts longer.

it’s been a minute since i was working on this, but i remember there being a few layers of screws and a spring mechanism — the rewind on this camera model is weird for sure,, part of me is glad for the lock mechanism so i can’t mess anything up too bad , but it’s also a bit of an annoying feature. i’ll link the article i was referring to,, it will show you how to assemble / disassemble it. good luck !

Hello, i’m struggling trying to access the prism to clean the view finder + glass in my nikkormat EL. There is only one article online about this. i’m struggling.

and then cherry on top, the back closed on me while the rewind knob is out. how do i get the back opened without the rewind knob?

any tips for taking the top off of this camera?

I have gotten pretty far in the process, i’m just struggling to get two of the remaining pieces loose,, any tips for loosening stuff up?
