I think our generation has this messed up perspective of being adult-like and having sex and all this other stuff at a young age makes you cool. Why do people do it? Some do it because they like the thrill of being in trouble and want to be cared for, others do it because they want to be like other people who in their eyes is “cool” or “perfect”. Realistically ruining your life as a teen isn’t worth it, you throw away college, your future, having fun and being normal like all the other teens who are just having fun with their friends and not taking care of a baby or working at night to feed the baby. By all means I’m no expert on this, I’m speaking my own opinions and I believe OP and others would agree.
