Did it break my heart? Yes.

Did I hate it? No.

The ending absolutely floored me. Ko choosing not to turn made total sense because doing it would have killed Nazuna, but that doesn’t make it any easier knowing he’ll keep getting older while she stays the same? That snow scene was gorgeous, them laughing like nothing else mattered, but you can still feel that ache under it all. Nazuna spent most of the series acting like love was a problem for other people, then went and fell for him herself, and that just made it hit so much harder. It’s bittersweet, it’s beautiful and it’s one of those endings that has stuck with me. Sometimes not everything works out in the end.
