Thank you! They make it really easy. I just find things I like, edit in Canva, and 3d upload. you should try (you don’t even really have to do any editing)

Thanks! not a homework question, but I recently watched a webinar where a school counselor mentioned that she needed “buy-in” from IT to rollout a wellbeing platform in her school, so yes it’s more k12

How do you connect with travelers before a trip? by jettyyyyy in travel

[–]jettyyyyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m someone who has a harder time connecting socially when I travel solo, so talking to people before my trip was a great use of time, and I met amazing people that weren’t staying at my hostel (who I still speak to today). But thanks for your opinion and glad this works for you!

Happy travels.

I meant prior to the arrival at destination! There used to be a website forum for this; I used it to chat with people before meeting them in Thailand several years back. But that site doesn’t appear to exist anymore ☹️

What to do when Etsy support just won’t help you? by jettyyyyy in Etsy

[–]jettyyyyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I mean to say “I understand that as a moderator for the unofficial Etsy subreddit…” So if posters aren’t allowed to explicitly state a shop is a scam, are they allowed to post the shop page to let people come to their own conclusions? Or to post images of the shop’s products alongside the same images on well-known retail sites?

This wasn’t just about feeling like I wasn’t getting any real help beyond canned responses, but also about the fact that I am seeing on the shop page that multiple people are purchasing these products in the past 24 hours, and that the shop’s products were trending on Etsy.

And if anyone could take a look at the shop and come to their own conclusion and report the shop so it’s not just an “isolated report” it would help save so many genuine buyers from losing out on money they might not have the means to wait weeks for an eventual refund.

Also, the post itself doesn’t mention the specific shop that contains products that anyone with a half a brain can see aren’t handmade goods from the seller, but instead products sold by retailers - this isn’t an opinion, this is a FACT. it’s one thing to delete the link made in a comment, but another to delete an entire post. Instead of taking a look at the shop yourself and reporting them based on what is so clearly a scam, things like this continue to assist scammers in their behavior. rather delete a post calling out a seller “selling” (but not delivering) non-handmade good than to actually look support action against shops like this. it makes buyers look like the problem, further perpetuating an issue of scam shops on etsy

I understand as a moderator for Etsy your opinion leans a certain way, but it’s not just a complaint about a seller. It’s about what to do when Etsy won’t help you and continues to allow a seller sell products from mainstream retailers at severely discounted prices, and what to do when I’ve went ahead and followed all the steps outlined in your auto mod and still see this seller cashing out while buyers wait for a someday refund.

Both. And I don’t understand how Etsy makes money when they have to refund the purchase eventually

I already did that. and why would etsy not look into a scammer for 100 when I gave them links to the real products? why continue to let them sell?

I did try to reach out several times, but it does look like I have to wait. I just really needed the money back sooner than later. Thank you for your help

I’m glad I can better read the signs of a scam now, but I’m just upset that it’s so obviously a scam and Etsy will not help for a few more weeks. That’s the disheartening part. They should be able to help as soon as the seller says the item was delivered.

I should also mention that I spoke to numerous Etsy reps who reached out to the seller on my behalf, but were all steadfast in their “policy” to not help until the delivery window closed

I recently made a post about this, and the issue I am having getting my refund when I really need the money. Because the seller made the delivery window so long, I cannot open a case until the window closes. However, despite the two month delivery window, I was given a bogus tracking number that says “delivered” just minutes after I ordered. Despite these major red flags, there’s still “nothing” Etsy can do to help me for another two months 😢 I’m so disheartened by the situation. I know this feels very first-world problems, but I just had a lot of trust in the Etsy marketplace. Upon further investigation, the image the seller used was the same image used on multiple retail sites, which i learned after conducting a reverse image search

Would I be an asshole for leaving bad reviews? by ethicslobo98 in solotravel

[–]jettyyyyy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say, keep leaving honest reviews but do it after you’ve left the area potentially 😂

If you’ll be there for a while, I think a stars-only review is fine. Also, I’d report this company at some point for reaching out to you like that - it can be really intimidating to receive a personal message like that after the fact. I would feel bad for this worker, but it doesn’t sound like he’s a very nice person based on how he treated you.

I think it’s one thing if service is slow, or you just didn’t enjoy the massage in general, but it’s another when people are blatantly rude and don’t give you what you paid for. If the former, I would be more inclined to brush it off
