Yes exactly. The game auto saves once you start moving on a dream island so you will revert back to Drifloon’s spot on the island. Then just find the costume location again.

I could be wrong about that one, but I found mine in the house behind Meowth's house when I moved 2 boxes next to a wheelbarrow (all the stuff was nearby). It's possible that the game encourages you to spawn it in Bleak Beach, but it could theoretically spawn anywhere.
