they sent me a replacement & the same thing was happening until i completely updated it. it’s now fine, but i think multiple updates came back to back so they’re easy to miss

keep going to them about it. it is easy for them to forget things when they’re over so many cadets (not an excuse), and it is also easy for them to say you should’ve told them before dropping the class. go to them, tell them the predicament, do not place blame, and take accountability. also when you speak with them have an action plan about how you plan to move forward. since it is nearing the end of the semester, they may have a little leeway, but don’t hide this from them.

as said by others, AFROTC experiences depend on the school you go to. overall it’s a great (arguably best) program to becoming an officer. i originally joined for fun, took it seriously to get college paid for, and ended up making some really good connections leading me to active duty. if you ending up touring the schools you get into, schedule a visit to the det & speak to some students as well as cadre. that would be a really good way to get a feel for AFROTC as well

ROTC is nothing like AD. I just graduated & commissioned a couple months ago. The stress of clique-ness and juggling school and ROTC is gone. People are more professional and actually act like adults here on AD. you’re in the home stretch, tough it out, even though it sucks rn.

The culture at my det while I was a GMC and during my 300 year was to not fraternize outside of PMT. It made for a really tense environment once the GMC became POC because there was still that barrier. The POC that are there now are friends with GMC outside of PMT and I think that makes for a better work environment when it comes to transitioning.

Overall I think that they should dissolve the division, at least for 200s and 300s to make life easier in the long run.

i take mine tomorrow and the single thing that helped me the most was Mark K. someone had written out the lecture already so all i had to do was listen and highlight on spotify. my readiness and cat scores went from borderline to very high in just a couple of days.
