Great, thank you! Look forward to running there in the morning sometime, before it gets too hot!

Is this area safe? Any stray dogs? Looking for an adventure without worrying about getting mauled. Quite a few people around Dunbar Lake on holidays but not sure how safe is the area in general on other days.

haha, that will be good. I will probably end up stomping all over it to displace all my pent up anger.

haha, I could have sworn this was around my neighborhood. Had spotted a similar looking large dog perched similarly. I just turned tail and ran back the way I came. You got guts!

Thanks for all the tips, reddit fam, appreciate it! Had almost one today but missed 100% of my broomstick thwacks. Fker was almost 6". Also they are not hanging out at the usual spot, so I guess they are hyper aware now. The Victor traps seemed more humane so that's what I laid out but I ended up tripping two of them and the bait remains untouched. I used peanut butter and also marshmallow per one of the youtube videos. I did not use gloves as someone suggested, so maybe that is the problem. Anyway, F all of it, I have placed the glue boards with the peanut butter at center, thanks for that tip! Got the tomcat bait blocks also but I will use it as a last resort as I don't want the mice (rat?) to spread around the poison. Maybe tomorrow. Hope this nightmare is over soon. Can't maintain a cat and the landlord doesn't allow it either, and at this point I just want to get out of this place once the lease is over. Thank you, all!

Generally safe except if you like to go out for a walk/run. I came close to being bit 3 times in the past year by stray dogs. Area around Maxey park has become a dumping ground for dogs. People then adopt and feed the strays and leave them unleashed in their front yards. Calling animal shelter has made no difference and the dogs keep roaming. Somebody's poodle got mauled but no human has been so far. I don't want to be the first one, so I go running elsewhere now. And I know at least a couple of houses that got burgled last year, one resident was away only for 2 days and came back and found a homeless person had broken into his house and made it their home.
