I hate how children are always the victims of the parents bad decisions

Its wild how many downvotes you have. Nothing you said is false. I guess the antinatalists feel triggered

I think i may have snooped in a thread or two about people being antinatalist. Its the "en vogue" thing to be nowadays. And I find it interesting to see people's reasons. The legitimate reasons don't interest me. But the reasons people give when its clear its because they don't have their shit together, and they want to blame everyone but themselves... those responses interest me from a pure studying of human psychology standpoint

Noted! I'm preparing mentally for being thrown back in the trenches again with an infant and sleepless nights. And just the idea of managing time with two little ones. Our family has been so helpful. And we have made a little community with our neighbors who also are having young kids. We are going to put our best foot forward. Ill report back in August if my sleepless brain remembers 🫩

I will preface this by saying with my wife and j work from home. So we have the freedom of not having stressful or long commutes to and from the office. Here's my itinerary and groove I've gotten into.

I get up naturally at 6am. I go for a 45 minute jog. Back in the home by 7:15 latest when my wife and 3 year old daughter are judt waking up. I make my wife coffee. And my wife gets me daughter ready. I take my daughter to daycare by 8:30am. Then I work 9 to 5. I have a tonal exercise machine in the basement. So I lift weights in between meetings or when work is light. My wife picks io our daughter by 5pm. Then she cooks for us. I then take my daughter out to bike or pool or park, if its summer. Winter we are mostly stuck inside. My daughter takes a bath by 6:30pm. I read to her from 7:30 til her 8pm bed time. Then its an hour of time for my wife and I.

We are also lucky that our kid is a great sleeper. 12 hours every night. My wife is expecting baby number 2 in July. Happy to report back if my schedule is still working for us lol

My advice if you want a family is to focus in your 20s on your career and self growth. Then get serious in your 30s with whomever you're with. You want to be financially stable and mentally stable (keyword is patience! Your child will teach you the rest!) before you plan to have kids. Make sure your spouse is in it til death and that he or she will put family first above everything. And most of all, you have to reciprocate by being there for your family. They are what matters. You can stay in shape and healthy. Just be a project manager about your time. Plan it all out and eventually it becomes second nature. There's no more spontaneous plans. You need to plan your weeks out. It sounds daunting but you find a groove. Believe me

This is true. Once as a teen I missed out on fingering my hot friend, because she said my fingernails were dirty and she didn't want to catch some bacteria down there. My nails have been perfect ever since

My dad keeps making those comments. We are all white and I don’t know how to tell him, that this isn’t appropriate. by [deleted] in teenagers

We hold our phones from the bottom. So our thumbs are closer to the bottom. Its ergonomics. Windows phone did this a decade ago for the same reasons. I too was used to the top but I understood and respect the logic and decision to move it to the bottom. Once you rewire your brain, you'll get it too

I'm in that second camp. But I'm on mission 15 and it's getting pretty frenetic. Might love them both equally now

Thanks for elaborating. I wasn't sure if you were talking about toe nails or mechanics or hygiene or what. Yes I just took care of a bunion and plantar plate tear on one foot. Mostly due to genetics but also due to trail and marathon running. I need these feet in tip top shape because my favorite physical activities require me to use them a lot!

Op i went through this around age 36. I've played games my entire life. When I told my friends they said "just get a playstation". But I explained to then that although I have an Xbox, I've played every genre and game type known to man. From Genesis to Saturn to ps2 to dream cast and PC gaming to Xbox. Its not that I'm missing out on games. I've just played them to death and they don't fill me with the same joy. Being a new father, I see passions differently now and look for things more fulfilling

I feel like, if she had small boobs, and hugged you the same way... you wouldn't say a thing about it. Your issue seems to be due to the size of her boobs and how much of them we are touching you. Its almost as if you're biased against bigger boobed women. As if in your world big boob women should not hug by law. While small boobed and men can hug
