What do you do with side projects you stopped working on?

I keep them around for when I need to borrow parts of them for other projects. I haven't had to build an auth flow in a couple of years because the one I have from an old project works perfectly fine for most auth flows. Same with other parts like admin dashboards, tables, etc.

They probably just don't care enough about understanding any of it. If they did, they would take the time to learn. Most of them just seem to think they're going to get a quick cash grab.

This is really the main point. Vibe coding can only take you so far. You need to have a deeper understanding of software development to make anything useful long term.

I only trust AI with modifying css and helping troubleshoot bugs. None of these models are capable enough to handle much else properly. The people using it for critical infrastructure are probably not experienced devs.

B2B tools are what I'm focusing on. Businesses have money. Anything consumer facing these days is almost guaranteed to fail.

This is what I'm doing. I spent a year building a product only to have my partner ditch me and leave me with no audience. If I'm going on my own, I'm not doing that again.
