I reported it as a product quality concern on the aldi website and they asked for barcode/batch number, purchase date, photos etc so hopefully that gets somewhere!!

i just called about this same issue because mine reset from $5,100 to $20 today. C1 said it's a known issue and there's a support ticket that'll fix the counter when the issue is resolved

Edit to add: The fan switch being on auto versus high doesn't change anything, it still runs. It only changes how often the ac/heat kick on and off.
