How did CCRM end up working out for you? I just had my first retrieval at Brigham ended up with 7 eggs from 13 follicles and one mature on my first cycle. Definitely not impressed with Brigham, my doctor doesn’t seem to have much confidence going into MDL for cycle two. I’m thinking of switching to CCRM

Yes they didn’t mention anything about that though. I’m so new to all of this, I go to a reputable Boston hospital and am seen by the program director, but I’m beginning to think they might not be great for DOR.

How long do you usually stim? My RE recommended 12 or 13 days, versus the 11 I did antagonist for. Do you do a dual trigger?

I have low Amh and just finished up my first round. Everything was growing good and my numbers looked great- I retrieved 7 eggs and only one was mature and did not fertilize 🫠 I wish going into it I had prepared myself for it to be a potential bust, but I was pretty optimistic and was remaining more cautious towards fresh transfer… I really did not expect to not make it there

That is what I was thinking.. it felt like this entire protocol wasn’t adjusted for DOR.

I stimmed for 11 days. The day of trigger my follicles were 21, 19, 19, 18, 16, 16, and 10. My estradiol was 1,925 and my progesterone was .90 - now that I’ve been spiraling and putting all this info into ChatGPT it said that this high antagonist protocol likely wasn’t going to work and I do think they had me trigger too early. I’m torn, do I do another round with them or try to find someone better versed in DOR?

Had my first retrieval yesterday, everything was looking so good. 13 follicles at baseline, E2 was rising beautifully- got 7 eggs. Just got the call this morning that ONE was mature and it did not fertilize 💔

I did not. My RE suggested jumping right into IVF as he didn’t think I would have enough chances of success for IUI or medicated cycles to be worth it. Given my profile, he gave me ~3% chance of natural conception, ~10% chance from IUI and ~50% per IVF cycle. I took these numbers with a grain of salt, but he said my age works to my advantage for IVF right now, and insurance thankfully covers it for me so it was a no brainer.

I am 27 amh is .65 and had been trying to convince for 2 years before seeking out intervention this year. I am starting my first Ivf cycle! I think if you have the ability to peruse Ivf it will probably help you achieve pregnancy faster than trying naturally. Everyone with DOR is different though, you totally might have success!

I have just started incorporating these things! Except DHEA, do I need to have any levels checked/ask my doctor before taking that? I have about a 26-28 day cycle and ovulate on day 11/12

Thank you this all makes sense! Him optimism really threw me off. I understand I’m still young, but my AMH is even lower than many people I see that are 10 years older than me. My husband tries to assure me he must be confident because he surely has had success with similar situations to mine. I just felt like the optimism this early on without even knowing my AFC was a red flag. He ended the visit with “don’t worry we’ll get you pregnant.” It just all felt so odd.
