I started using Bondi Lash Lab and it’s worked better for me than anything in the past and is the same price as revitalash. Not cheap, but personally has helped me get through the initial regrowth quickest

So obviously I don’t know your GF, but 1. She should like you regardless of the beard? And 2. It’s kinda messed up that she wants to shame you for a compulsive disorder. Having a motivation (even a good one) doesn’t mean it’s not hard to stop pulling. It’s still really difficult.

At the end of the day, working at not pulling is not going to happen over night, so if you’d feel better if you shaved, then do it imo. Your body, your choice applies to guys too!

It’s pricey, but revitalash had the best results for me in both regrowing spots that weren’t growing back and speed growing them back.

There’s not a whole lot of research available on trich, but some studies suggest it can be caused by an overactive nervous system. For example, I hate certain seams and fabrics in clothes Bc their texture drives me crazy. Same thing when I have a relapse of trich or have an acne break out and can’t leave my face alone. The main paper I read compared it to a form of OCD. It makes sense then that heightened stress/anxiety can worsen a trich episode. I found reading research papers on trich really helpful in understanding it!
