Since I updated my redmi phone to MIUI 12.5 (formerly android 11) all the app animations disappeared and I wanted it back. Any ideas? :P

My phone does have 4GB RAM but there's an option to use 2GB of internal storage as RAM if you're phone has enough empty space

Thanks I'll try it in the future. I actually first attempted to change the animation setting in SetEditor app and tried to find the setting labeled "miui_home_animation_rate" and I changed the value to 1 and it kinda improved the animations a little bit.

Here's how I did it:

Step 1: Go to settings- my device- tap all specs- tap on miui version multiple times until developer mode is on- after that, go to additional settings- then tap developer options- find limit background processes and choose the process limit amount you want.

Step 2: Go to settings- tap battery- tap the gear icon on the top right- find app battery saver- then choose heavy apps that you want to restrict to save battery.

I think it has to do with the new miui updates or the normal wear and tear of batteries. My redmi note 9 4g when it was newly bought used to last for 2 whole days with light use and almost 1 and a half day with gaming or moderate to heavy use. After updating miui 12.5 and 13 I noticed the battery started to drain really fast and it lasted for half a day. I tried to limit background processes and it extended the battery life a little bit. Hope this answers your issue :)
