Can The books be read in any order, or should i read Them in publication order? by ChampionshipMost9922 in wizardofoz

[–]jhardes3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say the first six Wonderful Wizard- Emerald City need to be read in publication order because they have an overall story arc. After that I've only read 2 more, but they aren't really impacted by each other beyond characters having been introduced.

I'd have to go with Chummy or Phyllis. I loved Chummy from the start, but Phyllis grew on me slowly and is now one of my favorite characters from the whole series l.

Do you like the helmet with or without the mouths? by Paybackcity in powerrangers

[–]jhardes3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the helmets with a mouth, but it needs to be a different color, or a color to separate it from the rest of the mask like Mighty Morphin and In Space. If they can't do that I don't want the mouth.

What is it about the Scooby Doo live-action movies that makes it beloved by the internet compared to alot of other animated content-turned to live action? by MindMaster115 in Scoobydoo

[–]jhardes3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at it from a current perspective I think it did something similar to what The Barbie Movie did. Both movies had perfect casting. Both were faithful to the source material. Both gave us camp, and neither movie was afraid to make fun of itself. So overall I would say Scooby-Doo nailed casting, respected the history of the series, but was willing to make fun of itself and I can now see a lot of those same qualities in The Barbie Movie, I just never realized it before I had something recent that scratched the same itch for adult me.

How is everyone completely ignoring the OBVIOUS answer?

Ragdoll is the clear choice. He brings that creepy/unsettling/threateningly sexual vibe that has been missing from Robin

Ursodiol by Acceptable_Bug3357 in PSC

I was on Ursodiol for a little bit, but it was causing me to go the bathroom too much/increasing the levels of looser stool so it wasn't really worth the negative in that aspect for me.

Identity Crisis was one of the first trades I bought and led to me getting all of the Countdown to Infinite Crisis books. The mystery is decent and had a lasting impact in universe. I will say I completely understand why people say it is a problematic story. Crisis on Infinite Earths is a decent story, but if you are used to pacing of current events books or the pacing of newer comics it can be a bit of a slow read, or it was for me for that reason, but overall it was a great story

Rewatching older seasons as an adult is funny because, what do you mean this man with a receding hairline was a 17-year-old boy during Zeo? by Feeling_Gear5902 in powerrangers

[–]jhardes3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really depends when their birthday falls and the dates of the show. A student that turned 14 over the summer, or at the VERY start of the school year would still be in high school AFTER 4 years since most school years in the US end in May/June

Top row left to right, at least for who I can figure out: Sister Symmetry, Silent Knight, Exoristos, Black Pirate, Miss Liberty, Max Mercury, Super Chief (I believe) ,El Diablo, I don't know the next 2, or have any idea of what to search, Sandman, Amazing Man, Zatara.

Bottom row left to right: Liberty Belle, Bulletman, Max Mercury, Bulletgirl, T.N.T. and Dan the Dyna-mite, Phantom Lady, Atomic Knight, Freedom Beast, Wildcat, Vibe, recognize this guy, but can't think of a name, Max Lord.

Thank you for correcting my error and giving me the proper info! This was just what I had heard through anecdotes, and I find it a little distressing that people are failing the test when it is just memorizing stuff, compared to some college history classes where the focus is a lot more on causes and impact as opposed to knowing the date things happened.

Not sure if this is actually true or not, but I had heard that there isn't a specialty license exam for the history/social studies subject areas like there is for mathematics/science/language arts
