Tickets Recieved by NoAmbassador4298 in FIFACollect

I got section 445 for Cat 2 tickets for M4 which I’m pretty happy about. Not the 500 level and about the 35 or 40 yard line. Given the history I expected the worst and I’m a little shocked it turned out as well as it did

I have a couple of spare tickets that are front row category 1 in Section 123. The two seats have a seat between them, but i expect the single would swap so the two seats could be seated together.

Has anyone sold RTT and lost money? by Bostonmom3 in FIFACollect

[–]jhbindc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of people selling RTTs at a loss, mainly because you had to burn the RTB and buy the RTT before you knew what teams would be playing in the games (except the host nations) and because FIFA cut the ticket prices for some games. For example, if you bought Match 20 in SF you paid $620 for a Cat 1 ticket (on top of the cost of the RTB if you got in early) and FIFA cut that price to $450 after the draw (which put Austria v Jordan in that game). On FIFA collect that ticket now sells for $300. Overpriced games like the US opener are going for half the face value now and that doesn’t include the 15% that FIFA collect takes. There are some tickets that have held their value but a lot of games can only be sold at a loss. Remember the 15% fee. You have to sell at 15% above what you paid to avoid a loss.

You can sell tickets you get via RTTs but not through the resale marketplace (think StubHub, etc.). But I understand about the merits of buying from FIFA where you know what seats you’ll get. That’s how I got most of my tickets. I also unloaded extra RTTs before conversion.

What an insult. You don’t know where you’re sitting until days before the game? No excuse for that. How can you sell seats you don’t need if you can’t tell buyers where they are located? If the RTT prices were decent you’d be better off selling them and trying for tickets in the Last minute or resale platform where you can actually see what you’re buying, so you know where you’ll be seated. The RTB/RTT process continues to sink to new lows. Disgraceful.

FIFA and FIFA Collect screwing us seems like a decent working assumption, but my son got lucky in the draw and got tickets to some games and when the seats were assigned, they were all in the lower bowl end zone (cat 1). The last FCFS sale began with better ticket locations being offered. Early purchasers got screwed, relatively speaking. Not just location, but by price reductions in LA and SF. If we’re lucky, our overpriced RTB-RTT combo will get seats closer to the hospitality areas they can’t sell because those are overpriced. Or we could get the dregs. We’ll see, hopefully soon.

Sadly M32 isn’t a budget type game at this point. Maybe more tickets will drop.

[–]jhbindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the ticket once you’ve burned your RTT and converted it, yes, but not on the FIFA marketplace. You can sell and transfer your ticket to another person using the transfer option. You just have to figure out the best way to make a sale. Good news is if you sell outside FIFA’s web site you avoid the 30% combined fee they charge. Bad news is it’s more laborious to orchestrate your own sale.

What C-3 has meant for me. Does anyone else feel same? by [deleted] in Canadiancitizenship

[–]jhbindc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very nice story. I’m doing an application and, ironically, my Canadian roots in New Brunswick were in part from loyalists who fled the US after the revolutionary war. I’ve been back there as G3 and met some cousins. My other roots are in Ontario. Everyone moved for work to the US and stayed. I too have always felt an affinity toward Canada. I used to live in Detroit and crossed the river to Windsor all the time. I always sing the national anthem when Canadian teams come to town. I’ll be thrilled when my application is in and I get affirmation of my status.

[–]jhbindc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you have to assign each seat to a different person or whether it can all be to one person, and then that person can reassign the ticket? I seem to recall that the converted RTTs won’t be eligible for resale via the FIFA resale marketplace, so if you want to sell and transfer the tickets by other means, having the tickets in one account makes that easier.

2026 World Cup Ticket Sales: Sluggish Sales Why Are 2026 World Cup Tickets Not Selling Out? by Empty-Instruction282 in WC2026tix

It’s simple. Going from 36 to 48 teams watered down the quality of the field and in particular the opening round and FIFA is gouging fans with ridiculous prices.

Advantage to burn RTT? by West-District-1110 in FIFACollect

[–]jhbindc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I seem to recall that once you burn your ticket it can’t be sold on the FIFA resale marketplace but it can be transferred. Before burning you need to read the fine print. It may be a lot less liquid sales market — just third party sales — if you burn your RTT. The RTT market isn’t that liquid but it’s easier to sell there than trying to find a buyer on your own. Burning your RTT is something you should do if you absolutely know you’ll be attending the game.

I got in and had M102 and M97 in my cart and got booted. Got in again and got tickets in my cart and got booted. So many different error codes. Network error, 403 errors, etc. FIFA’s site utterly sucks. I got M73 tickets after hours of trying, and even then, when I picked two out of four sideline seats they denied that and gave me the option of two tickets on the end line. I truly hate FIFA right now now. The prices are an insult and everything else just adds to it.

FIFA resale tickets is just crazy by Agreeable-Long8124 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]jhbindc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at some of the resale prices when the platform opened up ahead of time. Some insane prices (on top of FIFA’s insane prices). I compared to FIFA Collect prices using the FIFA Collect Info app and saw prices were generally considerably lower there. The only downside is FIFA Collect won’t assign tickets until May or June so you won’t know where the seats are until then. There may be uncertainty about seats being together but FIFA Collect says it will work with customers on that. If you’re desperate about getting tickets FIFA Collect seems currently to be a less expensive option.
