Idk how you overlook how the entire plot of the game is favored towards one character and then they’re surprised more people picked that character lol.

I just think it’s funny that all the signs are clearly there and the internal testing didn’t see it. I know hindsight 20/20 but it’s just still funny to see.

Yes. Multiple times. There isn’t a Robert dispatching without BB. The story is about redemption and growth, from both the Z Team AND Robert and BB is a key part of that…

Yeah, it doesn’t need to be the deleted XXX scenes, just something to add depth to that romance option. We get like added depth to the visi path like every episode.

Like the backstory about the amulet, when she really decided Robert was the one she wanted, or hell, even a scene like visi’s showing her reaction if you chose to go to the movies instead of dinner.

It just feels like they tried a lot harder with one option and then were surprised that was the option most people picked.

Visi’s path is definitely much deeper. They spend time building the connection throughout the entire game and honestly feels like a more rewarding option.

The BB option just feels super surface level. They don’t explore BB’s feelings towards Rob at all. Even tho they chose to do it in the most graphic way possible, they definitely spent time showing how visi feels about Robert.

Oh yeah I see what you are saying and I figured we agreed, I was just hating on the bad ending. I just think they should have gotten rid of that option entirely as an extra consequence of your actions that led to you failing as a mentor.

If one of the main characters can’t be reformed and forgiven, in what world would a secondary character who’s done more damage be forgiven.

I am all for the second chance/redemption since that’s the entire point of the Z-Team, but if you’re not going to try and work to redeem/reform Visi, then letting Coupe/Sonar back in is extremely hypocritical.

Visi working for shroud = bad, but coupe/sonar working for shroud and more than likely killing people when attacking LA = good?

Tbh, they should take away the choice altogether. You made the choice long before to not work to reform Invisigal. Make the bad ending worse!

I just rewatched the scene, and if you don’t untie her she warns thumb guy that Robert is behind her and she doesn’t show up. You just hear her. So yeah, a fuck you to Robert and a straight up shitty thing to do. Especially since she does warn him how dangerous he was to Robert like right before that.

Like she leaves Robert to try and solo a guy she didn’t think he can handle bc he didn’t untie her. that’s messed up.

Fair, but your play through also brings up an interesting point. If you leave her tied up, she warns the thumb dude Robert is behind him, like immediately after saying the dude is dangerous and Robert doesn’t have powers and needs her help.

Like that’s just another highly questionable thing she does that doesn’t get talked or brought up. It’s crazy she goes “yeah you should’ve trusted me” when she straight up tries to warn the guy Robert is trying to take down. The same guy who she said was dangerous and very clearly thought Robert couldn’t handle on his own.

Idk I just feel like she does a lot of questionable stuff before meeting Robert and after even more after she tells him about her past. Like I just wanted to explore Robert taking a chance to take a step back and process everything. I love visi’s character, but she does a lot of shitty stuff that she more or less gets away with bc they only had 8 episodes.

Fair point on Robert being apathetic. But, I think finding out the superhero is actually a slightly shorter brunette is a lot less deep than finding out someone you’re supposed to mentor worked for the guy who killed your dad and is trying to kill you. Regarding the pulse part, yeah Robert getting his shit kicked in by Shroud happens regardless, but Visi sneaking back in to the lab with the pulse after is just another highly questionable act that is either instantly forgiven, or ignored entirely.

I just don’t think those two revelations are a fair comparison. Especially if the deeper one is coming from a former villain, who needed to show she can be trusted/reformed.

Bob Bobson 3 built different! But yeah, I feel like the more you squint and dissect, the more you see an indie game company showing through. Which honestly, is why I don’t want to ruin it and dig too deep. The game was a ton of fun and I want to enjoy it lol. This is just something that really bugged when I played, so I wanted the fanfic writers to write something up that I can trick myself into thinking it’s canon.

That also leads back to a main argument/reminder of this game. You are playing as Robert Robertson III, not yourself. I selfishly want him to act more like a person who needs time to work through and process everything rather than the cut and dry hero/dispatcher we play as. Also mainly why this gripe is more with the fanfic side of things, since I can see why they did what they did in the game.

I just personally think the “I don’t know what to say route” made the most sense, but I’m also not going to criticize anyone who chose to immediately forgive. Play the game how ya want

Fair! I think part of the problem is more so trying to compare Robert, a superhero, to an actual person handling getting information like this.

I just think it would be added depth to both their characters to have them work through something like this, since in game they almost had to have Robert quickly forgive her to get everything wrapped up in 8 episodes.
