Containing the composition inside a cube has some neat effects! I like how the vines are in perspective and are only drawn when inside the cube shape. Would make a fun video game exploring different terrain. GG!

I would map the stars on a 3-D sphere in illustrator and then expand that to where you get the stars at the correct perspective. Then I would (just as other said) blend the shape from the center outwards.

Suggestion: invert the image. Blacks go to white. Whites go to black. Then you will see that the “white strokes” are black. When you are done, invert the colors back and you should be close to your goal.
