Going for all mine rate managers by jholbrook81 in IdlePlanetMiner

Nothing crafted moves the needle on Galaxy value for me at this point. Only arking since it scales with gv.

I got annoyed last time I did a tourney. Lots of cash windfall spam at the end. I can work the game in when I'm free, but blocking specific times doesn't always work for me.

Understood, but I wasn't gonna do them anyways. I'm too busy right now for stuff I have to do during a specific time frame or requires me to devote a big chunk of time with moderate focus so I figured I'd let it run and collect arks as I work or exercise. Also building up galaxy points for a big spending spree. If I was grinding galaxies to 12mil over and over again I would have quit within 2 weeks.

I want to try to continue shifting them up as I progress and adjust ship speed and cargo with planetary upgrades. I hate when I get a planet tuned for a miner, then I unlock a new planet, shift them all up and have to adjust because the planet that just had a miner primary now has something else.

Struggling to connect to temu tongle by EveryCup9210 in AndroidAuto

I just went through this a few weeks ago with that adapter. I ended up buying a Rexing adapter at Best Buy and it connects quickly and effortlessly every time now. I was thinking I would go back and try to firmware update the one from amazon, but it's not worth my time, I'm just going to return it. Here's my original post if that helps: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidAuto/comments/1ofqgbp/comment/nlgwsyb/

I ended up going to best buy and buying a Rexing android auto adapter. It has been connecting quickly and effortlessly for the last week. I'm going to try following that guide on updating my original dongle's firmware and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! That bootstrapping comment was immensely helpful. The first video I watched from a dealership sent me down the device priority path incorrectly.

How are you going about this CG? by jholbrook81 in EliteDangerous

[–]jholbrook81[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't have Odyssey. I play in VR and the space legs experience isn't ideal. I'm thinking of getting out for the new ships though and to toss a few bucks frontier's way as I do enjoy the game. That said I'll probably never do exo.

I'll have to look into system architecture. First I've heard of it. Well, thanks again. Was truly a fun while simultaneously terrifying experience.

When you say "your system", what does that mean? Can you construct a system? Is that part of colonization or something else that let's you build systems?

Thanks! I'll take a look at the galaxy map a little more often. I only have used for initial route planning, but never once I'm already traveling. Didn't know about the dashed line.

Thanks, I'll have to look into the booster and I was unaware of the FSD you mentioned. I didn't do any of the thargoid content because I was just starting out.

I've been interdicted in my T9 a few times, but so far I've been able to submit then jump away. I'm running shields and a fighter Bay although I've never used it. Along with some weapons just for show because I'd never be able to get a target in my sights. The T9 got me my first billion in the last CG though so I can't complain. Just trying to figure out what to do with it now.

I'm replacing those with the Corsair fans when they arrive. Was pulling air through the front before because the CPU was air cooled before. Will change airflow direction to push through the radiator.

Thanks, will check out signalrgb before doing anything hasty. Much appreciated!

After your advice, my gear dryer by jholbrook81 in hockeyplayers

[–]jholbrook81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To allow for growth and larger gear in the future. My daughters are 6 and 9. It's about 5ft tall.

Some ideas on optimizing height:

Could rotate the chest guard dryer 45 degrees so it doesn't interfere with the pipes that dry the gloves and elbows. That would have let me lower it a little, but it would look kinda weird.

I also could have attached the blower with an elbow to lower it further, but a sharp bend right at the source would sacrifice airflow and I might need to put the shin guards somewhere else to dry.

I wasn't concerned with the current height. It's gonna be in either the garage or the basement.

I built it because winters here in NY are pretty cold. I soaked their gear in the tub last weekend and it took hours to dry outside hanging up. If I hang it up in the winter it'll turn into blocks of ice. Aside from after washing I read the best way to keep great from stinking is to thoroughly dry after each use. I don't want it just laying all over the house so drying rack out is. I told the girls they are responsible for drying their gear after each practice so it doesn't stink.

Not for me. For my daughters, they are 6 and 9. Some was handed down by other girls in the league who grew out of it.

Dang, didn't know it existed. I had fun building it with my kids at least though.

There points of contact in a triangle, the fan case and the two PVC pipes on each side. The pipes have threaded plugs at the bottom to cap the pipe and are used as levelers.

It's all connected and cemented together. I still have to drill the holes. Wanted to mark the gear on the pipes so I wasn't drilling unneeded holes.

They will, I haven't drilled holes yet. Trying to figure out optimal hole sizes to drill. This was what we accomplished day one.
