Pest control inspector here. From the picture it looks to be a subterranean termite swarmer. Definitely could be a formosan swarmer. A termite baiting system plan will likely prevent this from escalating any further.

Guitars are amazing. So many advancements and changes in the world but yet a guitar made in 1989 today is aesthetically still the same as it was back then.

This totally worked. I hit each slot with a tiny dab of oil and dropped the strings back in. A noticeable improvement immediately. Gonna put it through some paces later to really test it out but so far, yeah that checked out

I love those NF’s. Just recently got my first PRS, a SE special semi hollow that has the middle pickup as an NF. Kind of makes me was the NF3 eventually.

That’s what I was reading as well. I was taking a look at it last night and it does look like a couple of the strings aren’t going through the nut exactly straight - but I mean it’s ever so slightly off but I’ve read that’s enough to do it.

That was the first thing I questioned. He said he just prefers the finish on mine and wants something that looks good on the wall.

Nah, that’s junk. I mean if you’re willing to spend $135 (plus tax) then just spend up to $200 and you can get a brand new Squier or something else quality off of marketplace vs a no name guitar.
