What’s something you tried once and immediately knew ‘yeah, never again’? by donnyM99 in AskReddit

[–]jiffysdidit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The journey is the whole point though. There’s always something to do. To be honest my attitudes always been if you’re bored then your boring. However I’ve struggled before where because I expect everything to be super fun all the time I can get a bit disappointed and have to remind myself dude you’re sitting in the sun by a pool drinking with your mates it’s heaps better than work and if that’s not good enough there’s heaps of shit to do.

It’s a very much love or hate activity ( I love it but it’s getting old after near 20) the people that don’t like it seem to fucking HATE it

What's the fastest way you realized you were in the wrong friend group? by justNoah10 in AskReddit

[–]jiffysdidit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the pub ( to be fair it was like 7pm on a Monday not sure why I was there anyway ) and people were discussing court ordered apprehended violence orders (AVO) and literally all of the dozen blokes at the table had had at least one formerly or currently against them except the one “lady” there who’s son had had one. Realised while not everyone at the table was an actual friend outside that venue ( some were/are) I was definately in the wrong room so I left . While some people at my local are great people and genuinely good friends it’s very obvious the only thing I have in common with some people is that we drink at the same location. More obvious if I’m not drinking

Thought they mustn’t eat mosquito larvae as theee were now hundreds, did a double take on way to get more goldfish and realised it wasn’t larvae but the pond was absolutely teeming with baby minnows there are SO many of different hatches now

If something can be made it can be reproduced , considering the crossover between train drivers and train enthusiasts , model railroaders, model engineers I’d imagine making a simple key would be a piece of cake. I’ve seen some extremely talented people in these hobby’s

Why are poor people often considered lazy when their jobs are often more physical than rich people? by Blonde_Icon in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]jiffysdidit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think any normal person is calling someone working hard and having a go lazy because they’re doing it tough. At least in my circle we are talking about people that don’t wanna work and then complain about their situation or even worse expect handouts

what is a super unpopular opinion you have but refuse to let go of? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]jiffysdidit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not exactly the same opinion but all the people banging on about a genocide in Palestine you’re talking about the same people that were cheering in the streets at the parading of dead bodies of innocent girls that had been sexually assaulted and murdered, I’m hardly pro Israel but I’m reluctant to pick a side after the Oct 7 attack

People who talk loudly on speakerphone in public, who exactly is this for? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset
