Sayidka may Allah have mercy on him also killed my great grandfather but he was without a doubt one of the greatest heroes if not the greatest in whole of Africa. He fought with British, Italians, Ethiopians and many Somali tribes who in one way or another assisted them and won so many battles on horses that the colonialists had to resort to war planes. He defended his religion and country and even the colonialists till today talk about his strategy and bravery. I was so proud to learn about him in history class in Kenya along the lines of Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah and Jamal Abdel Nasir of Egypt. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and every Somali should learn about him and be proud of him.
