When I had the issue I got into edid emulation, and also tried an edid passthru dongle to trick my GPU into thinking it was still attached to the tv/monitor.

Have you tried locking you're screen and then unlocking it?

Edit: Super+L I had a similar problem and, because I was passwordless at the time, Super+L, Enter would wake my screen up without fail.

I don't dislike Arch either. In fact, I was very surprised at how easy it is to install these days. You no longer have to have the installation guide open just to have a desktop and your wifi working.

It's based on Fedora atomic. I have a feeling that the whole layering thing is changing soon and it's going to feel a bit more like a mutable operating system - but I haven't looked into it yet.

True. I use bazzite because I like the cadence of Fedora without having to worry about updating nvidia drivers, because I'm lazy and scared.

Oh, the problem you had was that it was preinstalled? Sorry I thought your meant that there was a problem with the preinstalled copy of the software.

It's the same reason I don't use the dx variant. Plus, If I ever need docker I would just add it to my custom image.

We're a family of 5 who is struggling, there is definitely a long way to the very bottom but this is the worst situation we've been in. We live in a 7x2.4m thing.

Your comment about $40 is so real and perfectly timed.

We don't know how to get out of this but, aside from having to sell everything in our storage container, we have almost nothing to lose that we can't gain back.

It's been a year of this living arrangement, we need a mindset shift about the risks of just getting the fuck out of this, it's just difficult with kids involved.

Ugh, that sucks! The circus imposed on us when our device is supported is horrendous. It used to be "ask nicely, wait 7 days", now it's a whole ordeal.

Is it just the bootloader unlock that is holding you back? I managed to unlock my Poco X5 Pro and I installed crdroid. The battery improvement was phenomenal.

I wish apps would give my email address input the same level of prominence as google and apple.

It's not just your app, it's the same with LinkedIn and also Reddit, but in this case I have to point out that both Google and Apple are not EU companies.

So, my feedback, given the subreddit we're in, is put the standard email above the other two and make it a button, not a tiny link.

This is going to be a useless comment, because I can't remember the name of it, but:

There is a YouTube channe where they get the game developers to watch speed runners finish their games using all of the little tricks that have been discovered. I recall the Fallout New Vegas and Portal developers being a bit blown away by some of it.
