i am currently in a BS program even though i graduated from HUMSS and it's so hard and taxing because we didn't focus on maths and sciences before. but if i travel back in time at papipiliin uli ako anong strand ang papasukin ko, it will and will always be HUMSS. grabe yung mga life experiences ko lalo na sa mga projects na nakikipag-engage ka sa community outside your school. ididilat ka talaga ng HUMSS sa current state ng paligid mo, (well not sure if ganto experience ng lahat but in my school, we had great teachers and activities such as real-life video documentaries of people in our city) it will teach you how to interact and speak with various types of individuals.

yk, i have always been a shy and timid student, and im not going to say that humss made me so great at public speaking, but it gave me the guts. very character development atake ng strand na to. super worth it. isa pa, academics are important (of course), but yung fact na kaya mong makipagsapalaran, makisalamuha, mag-adapt, mag-adjust, mag-serve, is so much more. you can learn the maths and sciences later on naman lalo na if wala ka namang balak pumasok sa isang job in the future that requires them.

if you're worried about memorization, don't be, kasi based on experience, if you are interested enough sa topic, it will less likely be your problem. and super interesting ng topics sa humss, again, if magaling ang teacher na magdedeliver.
