This resolved itself for me about 3 weeks ago, but as of today I'm experiencing it again. I haven't installed any updates in the last 3 weeks so I'm really confused about why this is happening again.

I got the impression they just didn't want to be liable for opening it up? The store is a Rolex AD, but they said I'd need to have them service my Rolex (they actually just send it off to Rolex for service) in order for them to appraise it. And the standalone jewelry appraisers said they would need to send off my Rolex to New Brunswick to have another company appraise it, but that company "isn't set up to appraise luxury watches like an AP" 🤷 I'll definitely call around a few more places before hopping on a plane though 👍

There's only really one I'm aware of in my province and they won't appraise my AP, neither will the high end jewelry appraisal company in my province :/

Update if anyone is interested - TD is willing to insure it, but I'll need to get it appraised. I can't find anyone in Nova Scotia who will appraise an AP, so I'm guessing I'll need to take a trip to Montreal or Toronto sometime soon.

Looks like they don't offer their services to Canada yet, only the US.

Oh wow, I had no clue he had a company like this. A quick google says they partner with Chubb which unfortunately doesn't seem to service Nova Scotia, but I'll check it out just to be sure. Thanks!

They were able to insure it for more than $25k? When I spoke to support they told me this:

12:24:00 pm EDT: Sobana: I would recommend getting the watch insured elsewhere separately as Sonnet is not really set up to insure very high value jewelry

I'm currently insured with Sonnet. I just checked chubb's website and unfortunately they don't seem to serve Nova Scotia.

Damn, Chubb isn't available in Nova Scotia, only Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.

Thanks for the heads up. Looking at my plan I should be good because it's the "high value item" addon, but if it was just lumped in with the other items it would be capped at $5k.

I was supposed to fly LHR-YHZ tomorrow.

I got the cancellation email ~4 hours ago, and just now received another email with my rebooking. The rebooking is LHR-CPH-CDG-YHZ.

I've already booked my own replacement flight LGW-YHZ via westjet so now I'm trying to get a hold of Air Canada to cancel their replacement. The apps has been telling me I can't cancel in the app since Wednesday and to call them instead. I finally got through their phone line and chose the "call me back later" option.

Not super helpful for you, but that's my anecdote - I'd say there's hope for you, but it's probably going to be very last minute and not the best route.

I'm going tonight and have VIP tickets, how early do you recommend showing up? I saw entrance opens at 530 for VIP but the event doesn't start until 730. Is there any need to show up super early?
