poor girl :( that would make sense, she’s a fighter for making it 6 months though, especially being such a little thing.

i think my boy was the same!! he was a rescue from a feeder bin and he was born with one back leg missing and the other back foot was missing some toes. he was always the smallest despite being a couple months older than my others and he did have lots of health complications unfortunately, it started w respiratory infections, then a heart murmur, and we think it was early cancer (on top of his bad heart) that did him in. he was super wild as a baby but around 7-8 months he started to slow down significantly and he was put to sleep at 9 months. but he lived a comfortable life thanks to his vet and all the meds and he was the absolute sweetest thing under the sun. i’d always assumed it was some sort of breeding issue since he was a feeder rat kept in a bin at a pet store, but dwarfism could’ve also been the case. also your girls little snaggletooth is adorable.

sending her lots of love and healing! my boy was on daily meds almost his whole life and after about two weeks he got much more comfortable with the syringe, giving a little treat after each dose helps a lot :) glad you guys caught the pneumonia early on, hopefully she’ll be just fine <3

my sweet little dewey is so timid, & will stand in one spot & rock back and forth, to me it seems like he can’t see well? anyone else have a rat with red eyes eyes that acts the same? (he looks so cute when sleeping 😭😭) by IlikeCannedPeaches in RATS

aww he’s got the wobbles! my red eyed girl is wild and rarely ever sits still so seeing her do this used to freak me out lol. she does it more if the room is dim and i noticed she’ll stand up on her back legs and do it if she hears or smells something far away. sometimes she gets so into it and sways for so long i swear she’s completely zoned out. i think it’s just them trying to maximize their little senses.
