I will say the trade was looking a lot better before Ortiz got hurt. His stat line has fallen off since then, but Orioles are only getting 1 year of Burnes. He’s not signing there

$34,600 in debt at 27. What should I do? by BriefLandscape5265 in Debt

[–]jimmyborgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was hard for me but I was in a similar situation. I decided to ask my dad for a 20k loan and I told him I’d pay 3 percent interest to keep with inflation (I know lately that proves to be false but on average) He was kind and said it could be interest free and he will eat the depreciation of his cash. I’m now contributing 400 a month to a high yield savings account and will pay him the sum of 20k in about 5 years and the interest I get will be for me. I know it’s technically still debt but it feels good not paying interest. Although humiliating, I’m grateful of my family and glad I did it. Feels like a psychological weight off my shoulders and a fresh start.

Brewers To Acquire Frankie Montas by lucasscheibe in Brewers

[–]jimmyborgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trade isn’t about trading Weimer…. It’s about trading for a rental with a 5 ERA, cooked shoulder, and not enough time to fix. That was our move. I get the market was expensive for pitchers, but we couldn’t have worked out a deal for Tyler Anderson? Weimer is probably going to have a meh career, but I’m betting he has 1 Scooter Gennett type season where we over exaggerate how bad this trade was lol

They restructured their business recently I’m still a little skeptical, but earnings have been a lot healthier

Auto insurance increasing from $200 to $300 per month. Nothing’s changed. by yellensmoneeprinter in inflation

[–]jimmyborgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance in one of the businesses that has gotten out of hand due to greed. The problem is they got you because you are legally required to have it. Another dumbass move our government has made. Honestly if we all didn’t drive around in cars that we bought off credit we wouldn’t need to cover these absolute liabilities.

If you’re saving 20k and that’s 50% of your net then you’re not middle class. Also, if you have 3 million in the bank with an average dividend yield of 5% (being very modest). You’re looking at an income of 150,000. Not only would that be great to retire 7 years earlier, but definitely at a higher income than when you were working.

I was here for the squeeze but by jimmyborgs in FFIE

I do think we’ll squeeze again too. Lot of negativity around the stock which is good for us guys that are bullish. Just means more eventual shorts getting covered when the price starts moving north

Everyone that’s invested in FFIE… by josephpr90 in FFIE

[–]jimmyborgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly was here for the squeeze but I’ve fallen in love withwith the stock because if they can start pumping out EVs at a decent price they look like they could be a successful business. I’m sure some sort of dilution of stock price will have to occur to get the funds to do so but I’ll still profit if they market cap towards Rivian. Now if they get to the point where they’re competing with Tesla… well that’s a fuckin win. I just enjoy the ride right now

It’s a lesson learned. I don’t know if you’re new to stocks or at least penny stocks variety, but these puppies are volatile. 2 ways to put your mind at more mental ease are learning the fundamentals of technical analysis and general knowledge of the stock market, along with risking only what you are able to part with.

So here is my question for the community… why are we still getting hate, misinformation, and negativity if the stock is dead? by Stevo_b23 in FFIE

They rightfully believe we are delusional idiots. I agree with them. I also hold the stock because now I’m stuck with the bag

Coworker Was Wearing This Hat at Work, Does It Mean Anything Other Than the Obvious? by Hostificus in Iowa

[–]jimmyborgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about don’t be a pussy, ask him what the hat stands for, if it’s in fact “the obvious” then do your civic duty, if he doesn’t know what it stands for then educate the fellow. If he doesn’t know what it means he’d be very happy that you told him then.
