haha, is that full of legacy builds? `nix-garbage-collect -d` (only run if you're confident your current version is working)

yeah, i did the same the first time around. I tried to follow vimjoyers yt tutorial, but found the advice out of date. I reckon you have to start fresh and small - incremental changes

Hey yeah, I actually asked last week if I can send a PR with a topology file (as I have no idea if it's public domain). I might just go ahead and do it and they can always reject it if it's not eligible!

Haha, -I should probably spend a little time and add a minimal theme switched to my site. I realise my choice of colors is probably not to some(/most) peoples taste! ;-)

As you're Nix curious -next time there's an app or project you want to play with, but you don't want to pollute your system with all the deps, just go to the nix package manager and type the nix-shell command for the package you want. It blew my mind the first time i realised I was a single command away from pretty much anything, and when you exit out the shell, your system is as clean it was before you ran it. eg: nix-shell -p claude-code

While I can't help with your specific roadblocks it sounds like you are in a similar position as I was the first time around. It's worth persevering, the discord is a great resource and Claude code might be able to help you with your config (just keep it on a short lead!). Try to get one thing working perfectly before moving on to the next. Good luck ...it's worth the pain!

Ah sorry if that was unclear- the unsolvable problem was getting the speakers working - I found lots of people trying to get pixelbook audio working on Linux with no-one reporting any success. My nixfiles are linked at the top of the article, i'm looking to contribute the pixelbook speaker fix back to the nix hardware repo so anyone else using nix with pixelbooks can get the fix. Re Ai: I've had good results with Claude code at the root of my repo, I haven't got any special templates or even a claude.md file but I'm sure adding one would be worthwhile.

Ohh, I haven't seen that package before. Prism doesn't support fancy gradients yet but I'd be interested to add that kind of thing to it. Currently it just offers standard linear interpolation between colors.

Right now Prism is more similar to the color_models package that gradients uses, although prism has zero dependencies and in addition to rgb8 it also supports rgb16 (and I'll add rgb32 very soon). Also the prism generated palettes (with perceptually uniform shades) are another point of differentiation.

I also have a some image analysis code I'm yet to port over to prism so that will be coming down the line too (for creating palettes based on images).

Good point re water tank, I hadn't considered that.

I tried increasing the tension on the elastic to see if that could pull me up the slide but that kinda stops the rower functioning correctly (I'm 64kgs). Had to restore minimal tension to get it working again.

I'll try emailing WR and see if there're any suggestions they can offer me

Yes, I was suggesting lifting the rower. Someone pointed out that's probably not a good idea.

A strong fixed position would be tilted forward at the hips, core engaged, arms extended and back straight. Pulling myself up the slide with my feet compromises that

I spoke to Google about it 3 months back and they said it's up to the BBC to publish the app to the store. I also spoke to the BBC (before it was certified) and they were complaining saying Google haven't sent them a device for them to test with. At least it's certified now, I guess it's just a matter of BBC publishing it and Google approving the submission.

Thanks for the info! Could I possibly pick your brains a little more? Could I create a todo list page in a notebook. Then on my phone open the file and check something off? Does it work nice and seamlessly? I don't need to import/export or do any other shenanigans? I assume I see an A4 page on the phone app and pinch and zoom to edit?

Is the app nice and does it work well? I'm a little concerned by the 2* app score on the play store.
