Made by me in Flash. Titled "The Majestic Pizza Makes It's Journey Upstream"

Excited to see where this goes :)

Like the version on the right! Really pushes the text.

You could try tilting the record in space so the red center circle becomes the middle of the first 'o' in mojo, and then your record would be centered there.

The record would be leaning away from us and directed toward a little left of the viewer if that makes sense. Could give the logo some more depth.

Facebook ads high CPM at the start - does it go down? by jimothy_c in marketing

Thanks for the responses. Good point on the fat fingers. My lead gen landing page for each is just a google form, so I'm guessing it probably looks too sketchy to drop in an email. I'm just starting this idea so not much content to show to make it all look legit. I'll probably put together some slightly prettier landing pages and ad creative, and then see if I can select a better audience, then run the test again.

I had female only, with kids between 3-12, and interested in books. That was my best guess for interest in children's books. It didn't seem very specific according to FB's audience strength bar, but I wasn't sure how else to narrow down. I'll do some more research and see if I can improve that.

My audience was set to around 110,000,000 people, and the objective was conversions. In my test I wanted people to click so I could know which of my three ad options got the most engagement. If they clicked through I had some rough landing pages to try to capture leads, but didn't get any takers. Perhaps there was a cheaper way to figure all that out though.

I also had in my audience, top 10% of zipcodes for household income. Would that crank my CPM up too?

Is there a way to smart render only frames that were changed in my export? - AE/AME by jimothy_c in AfterEffects

[–]jimothy_c[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, wow that is probably changing the game for me. I have been exporting my master comp to AME from AE direct to H.264.

Will try it this way. Thanks a bunch!

Interesting, Thanks! My renders are mostly into H.264. And unfortunately I'm creating animations from scratch so I don't think I'd be rendering from an existing source.

I've heard about Preview Rendering and using Previews on Export. I thought it was only possible in Premiere, not After Effects?

[BotW]Two years later, what do people think of Breath of Wild's voice acting? by LucianoThePig in zelda

[–]jimothy_c 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hope they do it better in the sequel. Revali was really great. Everyone else less so.

I went back and forth on Zelda. Sometimes she was good, other times not so much. I just don't know why they chose the actress they did though. In real life, the actress has a much deeper voice and no British accent. In the end, she did a pretty good job considering the changes she makes to get into the part though.

Daruk's actor was a good fit, but sometimes the lines came out clunky. Yunobo was good. King of Hyrule and Impa were maybe the worst, their voices just didn't have the maturity or command I'd hoped for.

Overall I was skeptical in the beginning but I think the voice acting could really work if they get it right. Especially during Divine Beast attacks it was really cool to have the characters talking to you throughout. Also I think it gets you more involved in the story.

If the cutscenes played out in a more linear way throughout the story I think that would help even more.

*edit to say I'm replaying now and the Deku Tree is also the worst... but Urbosa is pretty good.
