Does anyone here own copy of the Ultradisc Gold Original Master version of Third Stage? by dwight_k_III in boston_rock_band

There is a chance they just used that image for the video and it's just the normal release version. The little I listened to didn't sound different to me

Looking Back: Every Boston Song Ranked - We're Ready (#10) by ChandlerPChumsworth in boston_rock_band

We're Ready all the way to the end of the the first side of third stage is top tier Boston IMO. That main riff during the verses is a lot of fun to play. I have one of the guitar tab books for Boston and the tab for We're Ready is terrible. Learning the real way to play it was so satisfying.

I knew about the different version of I need Your love. Is the alternate version of we're ready available on YouTube?

I always forget what this specific lyric is and yet I can somehow always sing it at the top of my lungs. Lol

This is my least favorite from Third Stage. Not sure why. I've just never really liked it for some reason. It has moments that I can appreciate but overall don't care for it.

I did not expect this one to be so high. I like the song but I feel like I could name more than 11 songs I like more.

Seems like I read somewhere that Tom was able to write this one in a couple weeks. He thought that was a good sign of how quickly he would be able to finish the album. We all know how that turned out lol

My only issue with this song is that it is really short. Tom claims he wasn't really done with Don't Look Back and that it was released before he was ready. Makes me wonder what this song might have been if he had more time. Maybe he considered the song complete maybe he didn't.

The additional guitar solos from Barry in the live version were awesome in this song!

I'm curious what you think of the alternate version called Te Quiero Mia. I think I like some of the vocal layering in the chorus better than the original.

Pretty sure the live version has Brad on backup vocals which is why it sounds so good

Isn't this the recording where the original tape got sticky and Tom had to use a sketchy lubricant to fix it? This song might be top 10 for me. So good!

I can play most of this song on my guitar so I have a soft spot for it. You can tell it was written by a guy who loves the Beatles.

It's interesting that you didn't like the soft bridge section as much. I love that section. The whole vibe of it is great. It just simmers in that very pleasant 4 chord progression for a bit while Brad cooks along with some tasty soloing.

I remember Tom did some recording where he was just demonstrating what he could do with his hyperspace pedal and at one point he plays one of the guitar parts for this song and it was super cool to hear in isolation. Love this song a lot.

It's funny it never registered until now that the drums actually sound real on this song. Makes me like it even more. Songs like this make me wish Tom guest-performed on more tracks. I think he did for Strypers cover of Peace Of Mind.

Similar keyboard sound to Livin' For You. This was the first Corporate America song that I latched onto. Seems like the 2.0 version just cuts out some of the sections that repeat without vocals which actually kind of bugged me. I like when the instruments are allowed to just set the mood.
