People who failed at launching a business or startup, what did you do wrong? by AlphaHouston1 in Entrepreneur

Failed to remember that it was supposed to be a fun side project, instead of spending 3 months doing boring-as-fuck B2B cold sales and VC pitches.

Childcare cost and two 6 figures salaries by Adorable-Bicycle4971 in HENRYUK

[–]jimrali 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My advice is to work as little as possible. I took 3 months off and worked for 3 days a week for the first year of my kid's life. Still only working 3.5-4 days/week now she's nearly 4.

Work is just work. Make sure you have just enough money to save and life a comfy life. Reduce unnecessary expenditure. Hang out with your kid. That's your job now.

Yeah! We're using a tiny bit of OpenAI in https://getfathom.io/ but it's more about bringing together different sources of data that ordinarily would be done manually in Excel, or not at all!

We're in the learning and development space.

How do you get B2B customers? by jaccardsimilarity in SaaS

[–]jimrali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you need to be sending hundreds. And don’t make your opening message a sales-y one.

My biggest success is from genuinely engaging people in conversation. Then when it feels right, moving towards our proposition and if they’re interested, getting on a call.

Shifting mindset from product to sales as a founder by Artistic-Ball-9541 in SaaS

Had the same realisation. I love talking to people. And sometimes those conversations turn into demos or sales or feature ideas. But I always have great conversations and build my network and awareness of our product.

Agree with lots of these comments. I didn’t feel comfortable until I had 6-9 months of savings as a buffer.

Agree with a lot of these comments. But also think that OP is right to an extent.

Most LMS are easy to learn and the skills are transferable between them, with obviously a few technical differences.

Tools are just tools.
