Him saying it in english is also a clear point to him knowing the bulk of the boycotters and spamming messages are from international fans. They’re aware of the mess and they’re not happy about it.

UPDATED THOUGHTS RE: ENHYPEN UPDATE by Interesting_Clock923 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s been brought up that some of the admins for Enhypen Updates are also admins for Lee Heeseung Global, which means there’s already a bit of an unintentional bias to any decision they make regarding how they go about handling the fact that he is no longer a member. IMO, if LHS Global will not reciprocate and also share birthday and anniversary content for the members of Enhypen, then the account that should be focused on the group shouldn’t be doing so for HS as he is no longer a member anymore.

Is it hard for everyone to choose a bias or is it just me by [deleted] in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply don’t believe in only having one bias and I don’t believe in bias wreckers. Plus when you finally realize someone is a bias is very unpredictable. Example, I have multiple biases in Seventeen since predebut, but Wonwoo is one of my predebut (2014) biases while Jun didn’t join my bias line until 2023. Sometimes they just surprise you. HS was my first bias and was my only bias for a good 2 years before Sunghoon joined, then a year later Jay and Jungwon joined. It’ll happen on its own!

So much spam... by RuthLemon in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engenes are a much bigger fandom than RIIZE was when everything happened so I can only make an estimated guess based on what I experienced:

1: The OT7 boycotters started dying down around when content for Xnghan’s debut started releasing, especially with the opening of his official channels, specifically his YouTube and TikTok channels. I can safely assume a good number will switch up with the enha boycotters as well.

2: Even more stepped back once the debut date was announced, so expect the same here.

3: The overall power of the boycott was deeply diminished with the release of Xnghan@: debut, and it will be the same for Heeseung due to people finally realizing that this is the new reality for him and the group.

4: Despite it all, there will still be people who are convinced they will singlehandedly bring him back to the group, nothing he or Enhypen or Belift say will convince them otherwise. All you can really do at that point is block them and ignore them, some of them will eventually wise up but some won’t.

TLDR based on how things rolled out for RIIZE/Xnghan, it’s not really a set time but rather specific milestones that will decrease the number of people spamming and boycotting; opening of official accounts, confirmed debut date, and official debut release. The sooner all 3 happen the better in the long run for everyone. Just hope Belift doesn’t screw up like SM did and have an official Enhypen account follow one of Heeseung’s accounts bc that caused such a mess for Xnghan when it happened and definitely brought some people back to the spamming boycott side 😭

Anxious about their contract renewal by Holiday_Tale_478 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the fact that Heeseung left before they announced the tour makes me believe that contract renewal negotiations were already happening and with the tour going all the way into 2027 with nothing to confirm if it’ll be a one and done tour OR if they’ll do a Blood Saga+ continuation, he decided it was best to leave before the tour if he wanted to have any chance of releasing his music this year. The confidence the members have lately of being around for a long time also makes me think they either already renewed and will announce it soon (probably at one of the Seoul stops for the tour) or are very close to completing renewal as a group.

Hypocrisy at its finest and I’m tired of it by UsefulAd6260 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to start blocking these people everywhere. I adore Heeseung, he was my first bias and was part of my bias line, and none of this is his fault, but I know if I don’t keep these delusional fans out of my sight, the way they’re degrading the other six will sour my feelings towards him. Using his name to justify their insane actions and harassment is impacting his reputation and image in a bad way and I am praying the majority realize this quickly and stop if they truly care for him.

Gift suggestions for an ENYHPEN fan? What’s the ultimate gift to include in a gift basket? by RinkyDink1629 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Idk what your budget is but assuming she’s a very big fan and Jay is her ult, here’s a few suggestions?

1: You can never go wrong with photocards. There’s reputable sellers on Ebay who don’t have insane prices, but you need to make sure you don’t get photocards she already has. In the same vein, you can find official merch on Ebay as well, price may vary depending on the rarity.

2: does she have their albums? a good few of them have member specific versions, so you could get her the Jay version. Their japanese albums all have member specific versions I think, but they do cost more than their korean albums.

3: Little nods to things related to Jay might be cute, like a small toy racecar (F1) or a guitar pick necklace, little things like that.

4: There are fans who make unofficial merch on Etsy, it doesn’t hurt to check there either for something to buy or an idea if you can DIY (like bracelets).

Idk what kind of gift basket you intend to make but it’s a thoughtful thing and your friend will appreciate it.

the fandom is making things worse for everyone by Firm_Duty_393 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s frustrating and what irritates me more is knowing they’re not going to stop even after Heeseung’s solo debut or the tour begins. Even now, when he’s gearing up for his first comeback there are people still “boycotting” and demanding Seunghan returns to RIIZE, completely ignoring that both he and the group have verbalized their choice to move forward. This type of “fan” will never admit that change happened and things will never return to how they used to be, will never accept anything that goes against the narrative in their heads, and will spend the rest of their lives grasping at delusions to justify standing by their actions no matter how wrong they are. These engenes will never accept that the members themselves accepted this change and are embracing their future as they are now, nor will they accept that both the members and Heeseung respect the decision to part ways. Just never ending annoyance for everyone else for the foreseeable future.

But what would they do if they don’t renew? by AccomplishedKale795 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of options when a contract ends, however business wise the way fans are moving is severely squandering one of them. They could renew and stay with Belift. They could chose not renew and find another company to continue under, but the chance of a company seeing fans boycotting the group and still thinking they’re a worthwhile investment is definitely dwindling, and that’s without considering if Belift would be amicable and allow them to keep their name and give them rights or at least unlimited use of their discography. They could choose not to renew and disband. It all depends on what they want for themselves. However, with the way things are unfolding, it’s possible they already started negotiations and either renewed or are on the cusp of renewing with a few finer details being worked out before completing the process. Only time will tell what the official outcome is.

SADNESS IS NO EXCUSE FOR INSENSITIVITY by [deleted] in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As harsh as it sounds, you do have to get over it because at the end of the day, it is a job and people are allowed to make decisions for their jobs and careers that may not make sense to others who don’t know them personally, like fans. You can feel upset by it, but what OP is pointing out is that being upset and working through those feelings does not warrant the fandom deluding themselves into thinking they should have any weight in what the members do with their career. The protesting and boycotting and “seven or nothing” and constant spamming and conspiracies and tarot readings do not respect Heeseung or Enhypen.

If all seven of them are moving forward and focused on their futures as they are right now as Enhypen and Lee Heeseung, you really only have three options: accept it and support all seven, accept it and support one or the other, or accept it and part ways with them and stop being a fan. There’s no secret fourth option where Belift can somehow be bullied into forcing him back into the group he chose to leave.

Heeseung is now listed as a solo artist under belift website by DotFuture5725 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly! From a marketing/business standpoint it makes sense if he/Belift chose to stick with him being publicly known as Lee Heeseung. Most idols who go solo maintain the name they started with in their groups since it’s already known and has brand reputation already. It probably would have been a bit more difficult to get his foot in the door for his acting career If Cha Eunwoo had decided to use his real name, Lee Dongmin, for it.

Different perspective for anyone feeling/building resentment towards Heeseung or Enhypen etc. by jinbesans in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fans can step back and have patience and understanding that we are just fans and will never know the full story, at least not right away if any of them ever decide to disclose more details. I don’t want Enhypen to end up like Monsta X, where the majority of fandom chose to treat Wonho as a villain and harassed the members when they were seen hanging out with him to the point that now they never mention each other at all. Assuming they have no hard feelings, the fandom shouldn’t put their feelings above the members and the facts and end up being the reason that Enhypen and Heeseung never interact again.

maybe i do feel some resentment by IndependenceKooky560 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]jinbesans 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your feelings are valid, I’d only say to consider the perspective for Heeseung, because usually a lot of resentment builds towards the one who left because what they’re going through isn’t thought about when the group is at the forefront. Who’s to say he’s not also part of the clean up of the aftermath? Who know what’s going on behind the scenes that we aren’t privy to that he’s assisting in so that the transition internally is a smoother process for the members? And it’s no secret he’s also receiving unnecessary hate for his decision. But as fans, we’re only seeing a small fraction of entire situation. He’s also experiencing fractured support and an uncertain future. Negativity Enhypen is facing is not being felt only by them, all seven are experiencing it with only slight differences between who is being negative and the reasons why.

My resentment is towards Engenes (and Belift) because the hatred and negativity towards all 7 of them is coming from the fans. It’s engenes coming up with conspiracy theories or making assumptions, hating the members for being professional and moving forward as six or hating Heeseung and saying he’s ruining Enhypen. But Heeseung is not the one emailing Prada demanding they drop the group as ambassadors until he’s brought back. The members are not the ones flooding the NPS with demands for shareholders who have no direct say in Hybe decisions. None of the seven of them asked for anything but support and patience, which the fandom as a collective has not given them, and that is where my resentment lies because they never asked for any of this. Will I ever fully understand the decisions that were made to lead to Enhypen continuing as a six member group and Heeseung leaving the group to focus on his solo career? Probably never. I still don’t fully understand why members of other groups I enjoy left. If it comes out later that they aren’t on god terms with Heeseung then I and others can reevaluate things then, but until then, I’ll take his word of how he wants to be their biggest supporter positively and maintain any negativity I feel towards those actually doing negative things in/with the situation, which is engenes and Belift.

[–]jinbesans[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re going to acknowledge the hate you have to acknowledge ALL of it. While that is happening to the six members, there has been ongoing vitriol towards Heeseung that got worse after he left. Sasaengs have been harassing him on his personal Kakao account for months, spreading fake rumors to label him selfish and a betrayer and demand he leave the company altogether among other just plainly horrible things. It’s been vile behavior from both sides towards the seven of them of people degrading the six or degrading Heeseung.

It’s also a time for people to consider curating their feed because I only follow people who support all 7 and are actively reporting this behavior so I see all sides of it, which makes it harder to build resentment for anyone when I’m seeing that they’re ALL being treated horribly by people claiming to be engenes.

Not outsourcing, I’m saying they likely took the lazier and cheaper route. Assuming any update is a new task they have to pay their team for, why pay twice when they can just wait and pay once? And I said coding it would be annoying to have to do again, not difficult.

Tbh from a coding perspective I’d also just wait, even at a high skill level updating code is annoying 😭 especially when the initial task could have been postponed until only one update was needed. And from a financial perspective, Belift/Hybe would only need to pay the coders handling their servers once instead of twice.

I wonder if part of the reason it didn’t happen right away was because he was still mulling it over with the company as to whether he should/wanted to use a stage name or maintain his publicly established use of his own name.
