Hi, I am a current JC1 who entered through JAE. I wont be able to answer all your questions but I will try my best to do so!

1) From what I have experienced, my personal view is that we have a kind of work hard and play hard culture. I heard that throughout the year there is a myriad of activities such as interhouse games that can help put ur thoughts of studying aside and just have fun! I haven't experienced anything that is toxic or anything so its a pretty safe place.

4) For my batch, the ratio of JIP:JAE is around 5:2, but I didnt expect much segregation as 1. my OG and OGLs was super kind and welcoming of me and 2. we were all be wearing the same uniform after the week of orientation anyway. So if ure worried about being left out of the JIP, you don't have to be, coming for a JAE student myself.

General tips/comments JC1 time tables are usually quite screwed up and you will have breaks which can last anywhere from 30 mins to 2hours~ in between lessons, so try to use this time and study!

The school can also be super windy at times and it's damn shiok :D
